Please folks do not customize your factory Mags to fit. Instead, customize the pistol to fit the factory mags. The G19 is the most popular sidearm in the world. It would be a damn shame if you couldn't just grab mags off the ground and throw them in your gun....

Great video! I once had an old machine shop guy tell me he disassembles his new guns and puts valve lapping compound on the friction surfaces and puts about 200 rounds through the gun. He said it is real obvious if any more polishing needs to be done and where.

Always entertaining to watch internet dudes vandalize their firearms and then spam a bunch of threads asking why their Glock doesn't work anymore. I can do all this by simply shooting the gun and I don't have to potentially wreck my internals. And if you can't shoot the gun enough to where it polishes itself, then you obviously don't shoot enough for Bubba's trigger job to have any impact.

I’m going to try Crazy Glue first instead of solder
@JohnHorvath73
@JohnHorvath73 7 ай бұрын
That is an option, but crazy glue and other similar glues dry out, crack, and break free all the time, especially with temperature & humidity changes. Taking 5 minutes to solder it all is a better option.

Fuzz and gain pedals are about as low draw is it gets... Any delay, reverb, and modulation.. will draw the most. But you can just check the draw\output on the pedal power supply. Which should be very low.. 1 or 2amp at 120 supplies a lot more down at 9v

I don’t get the point to do that if you no like the grip of the 17 why no stay with the 19 that’s why they made it for sorry but I have my g45 and I don’t think 15 rounds better than 17 rounds I know it’s only 2 of difference but count 2 each mag make difference lol my respect I’m not say in bad way I’m just wants to see why? God bless and thanks
@JohnHorvath73
@JohnHorvath73 Жыл бұрын
I clearly explain in the video why I prefer it this way, but to save you the time of watching it again, I'll briefly explain.. With a regular G19, the fat, meaty part of my dominant hand palm keeps 15 round mags from dropping free. However, with the tail coming down the backside of the grip an 5/16", it's just enough to keep my palm from holding mags in place. That's it in the nutshell.

I used metal foil tape to protect areas I wasn't working and finished it off with rubbing compound. My middle finger knuckle is much happier now. Using a vice made it easier to get things even and then I hand held it for the radius work. Glock knuckle no more.

It all depends on you feel Glock means by perfection. Providing you're not a shallow thinking individual, an inexpensive firearm that is excellent for home defense, concealed carry, countless Law Enforcement agencies, as well as being the perfect platform for end user modificaton can very easily be described as perfection.

I just got my EMP+2 for G43 and with Strike’s new floor plate, but can load only 7-rounds PERIOD. My mags are all version 02. I could force an 8th round in, but so tight the slide can NOT strip that top round and I could not insert the mag with slide at battery!!?? I installed it on a 2nd mag with exactly the same result. I would also knock the mag should a possible spring tie-up was occurring but exactly no different, IT FAILS. I have not tried the Glock’s OEM floor plate. I may just go with the ETS Magazines for the G43. I do run the EMP+2 on my G42 with no issues and with spring play with 8-rounds loaded…. NOT WITH THE G43!

So how about the other attachment.. I mean to the metalplate on the P16 itself.. it can also easily slip out because it not a hole, it an opening... don´t you sometimes see that they just slip out of the mounting screw?
@JohnHorvath73
@JohnHorvath73 Жыл бұрын
Hello, Lars! Yes, they do slip out sometimes, but I've minimized that with some gaff tape on the flat metal parts. It softens the surfaces up just enough to where it doesn't vibrate out as easily if the twisty thing isn't fully tightened. Try that in the meantime, and I will will experiment on a more permanent option. If I figure anything out, I will post it back here.

Excellent video thank you very much. Couple questions, do they have to be brass nuts? Is that the same size as common Fender? I ahev a set of Shawbuckers same dilema...Thanks again (Subscribed)
@JohnHorvath73
@JohnHorvath73 Жыл бұрын
Hello! They do not have to be brass nuts, but brass will conduct the heat from your iron and therefore solder a bit easier than steel nuts that are zinc coated. Most nuts of this size will be zinc coated, but if or some strange reason they're mild steel (uncoated), they will be very difficult to solder. That said, your best bet is to buy brass nuts, or make absolutely sure they are zinc coated. And yes, I assume they will be the same size for almost everything. However, your best bet is to try a local hardware store first in order to confirm the size of your pickup bolts.

Does the 80/20 split increase printing? I'm asking because I can generally hide a 19, but not a 17. 19 is too short for my hand, and I'd love to conceal a 17. That's why I also asked about the 45 grip modification.
