Did you ever find out who's dog that is? Pretty disrespectful to allow the dog free range to harass wildlife and God knows what he's actually got ahold of and did to it.
@GameTrailCameraVideosАй бұрын
No but we really don’t see it on our cameras often at all. Living in the country, ppl don’t have fenced in yards since everyone’s property is measured in acres so sometimes pets just wonder off their property.

@@GameTrailCameraVideos its amazing to just watch them being undisturbed. I do feel a bit like a perv because if I was an animal I would not wanna be filmed while relaxing somewhere, but its a prize I would pay any day if one day we can convert animal sounds into words and the animals call me a perv, I would have to tell them they are right, but it does them no harm, so whats the big deal? Dont take my words serious, you do a great job and actually help preserve them and their enviroment by filming them, which im a big fan of. We need more wildernis.

I hit a Turkey while I was driving on Route 402 in the Poconos a few years ago. The driver of the car behind me was laughing. I could see him cracking up in my rear view as feathers were floating everywhere. When I got home in Bethlehem, I saw Turkey feathers, blood and my hood has a 4 inch diameter dent and my hood moved 1 inch out of alignment. The next day my repair shop found feathers in the engine compartment and they were amazed at the damage from hitting a "butterball." BTW, I have no idea if Mr Turkey survived.
@GameTrailCameraVideosАй бұрын
You see so many turkeys and deer on the side of the road these days. That was probably a bit scary too. It really doesn’t surprise me how much damage it was not necessarily because it was a “butterball” but because wild turkeys are like extremely lean, pure muscle, solid like a rock. Thanks for sharing! Glad you didn’t get hurt. Last year I “bumped” a Canadian goose as it was lifting off and a guy driving was dying laughing… your story made me think of that haha. It was fine bc it kept flying but I bumped it pretty hard off my windshield. (On accident obviously as it decided to take off from the side of the road and flew right at my car)

Happy that he enjoys trail camera videos! Have we heard noises coming out of the woods which are hard to explain what they were? Absolutely but doesn’t necessarily mean it was a Sasquatch. coyotes. Yotes have pointed ear-tips and narrow pointed snouts. Wolves have rounded ear-tips and wider snouts. Yotes have their 'trotting movement' and wolves either run as in a chase or walk... Wolves will make straight-line searches, youtes wonder all over like dogs. Wolves have big black dark spot on tail...where tail meets body. Yotes can have same... also Yotes have rippled fur patter just behind their shoulders... Woilves can be blotchy, all one color but without the ripple appearance behind the shoulders (as a Yote has). Yotes will yip and scream like a crying human baby at night....Wolves have a deep gutteral sound and their howling is a definite no mistaker! I love the haunting lone wolf howling... you KNOW you are in nature's realm when you hear a wolf howl...yes, both can travel in packs.... generally Yotes 3 or more... one Yote to get your attention and draw you out in the open, the other two await in the local bushes to attack your rear calf to bring you to the ground. Then all 3 go the kill....as always protect your neck area, face and head. Most predators go for the neck and above areas. The Yotes love to ambush you...most people don't see them coming until they have already been bit in the rear-area...Yotes have 5 to 11 pups usually in the spring... Jan through April...they use their multiple entrances/exits dug out dens...usually found on a steep ground slope.... hope this info helps all. Be CAUTIOUS in Yote country. Wolves usually are mostly shy of humans... Wolves will drive a deer out on an iced over river or lake and then the pack will surround the deer and have their lunch. Wolf packs have been spotted containing 20 or more Wolves... Do a KZfaq SEARCH for 'coyote attacking humans'...(I live in northeastern MINNESOTA which is called the Minnesota ARROWHEAD Region). 🌲🐺
@GameTrailCameraVideos3 ай бұрын
That’s a lot of useful info, thank you for sharing. At night we occasionally hear a very deal howl and according to DNR there are a couple wolf packs in our area however the abundance of yotes on my game trail camera disputes that since I’ve always been told that wolves will push coyotes out of their territory.
@rebeccacarlson91662 күн бұрын
I have never heard of coyotes hunting humans. Coyotes are shy. I owned a Coy/GS when I was a teen - a very long time ago. She was the smartest, most well-trained canine pet I've ever had... and I've had many. Thanks for compiling the footage for our pleasure!

I wish I could post a pic in here, I found prints miles out in the woods while doing some hiking/ shed hunting this spring. Found coyote tracks as well right next to it so you can see the size difference. Absolutely had to be a wolf or someone’s giant dog got away. This was just north of the WI Dells.

I hear there is a wolf pact by the river there north of the dells, not sure if that’s correct though. It would be neat to compare the two.

I agree
@williamgillis59763 ай бұрын
You might have one transient wolf, the rest are definitely coyotes. It is difficult to determine size without knowing or having a size reference. Generally when wolves are present, coyotes aren't because they are competitors. Packs of wolves will decimate an area of much of the larger game. I've seen a couple lone wolves in my 70 years in the West central Wisconsin. They are very large, with larger muzzles and longer bodies. I've only gotten one on a trail camera. We do have some very large coyotes in Wisconsin that can easily be mistaken for wolves.
@GameTrailCameraVideos3 ай бұрын
@@williamgillis5976 thanks for sharing. Nothing really jumps out as a wolf from my captures but maybe one hybrid. There are a ton of coyotes in my area which leads me to think wolves aren’t active or they would have driven them out. They don’t really coexist to your point.
