Unbelievable that someone was able to get video of this, first time I heard it was somewhere around 1973, on the Isleys Live album. Damn Ernest you a bad man

💫✨VERY Fine, Ms Repunza . . . My deepest sympathies on the loss of your godfather, Mr Rudolph Isley and thank you so, so, much for the upload!!! Back in the day, if you didn’t have access via video recording or especially in-person attendance at these live performances, you just missed out : for those reasons, we appreciate you letting us in via this rare video link 🔗 to our past ; this made our future hopes, dreams, and aspirations worth the struggle bcuz the struggle (😖) was REAL and the Isleys reminded us of what we needed to do!💫✨

The music wasn't simplistic and obscene. We weren't divided left and right. Our political environment never was hateful like Trump/Biden Biden/Trump division. This version and Seals and Crofts version were BOTH big hits 1972-1974. Things were way better then

You won't believe this but I bought this album in 1980 and on my album it was 3:30 listed as Hendrix that's why you never hear Ernie mentioned. Hendrix showed him how it was done and Ernie never did anything like this after. If he had he would have been as big as Hendrix. That album is out there still I lent it to a friend and we actually discussed it. I never hit it back. But I promise you it exists.

When Michael Bolton released his ORIGINAL song, "Love Is a Wonderful Thing", I had never even heard of another song with that same title. Then I heard about this lawsuit some time later, and when I listened to the Isley Brothers song, the two songs only had the same title but sounded completely different otherwise. Moreover, their song wasn't even 2 minutes long. The Isley Brothers song didn't even make it to the Top 100 on the chart, so who would have even heard of their song, lol. This was a ridiculous lawsuit and an even more ridiculous outcome to the case. This was just a way for them to get money from Michael Bolton and to try to still be relevant. I'm glad Michael Bolton stopped any further releases of his song and his album with his song on it .... that way the Isley Brothers could not further profit from it.

The 70s was all about the music. Can't be beat. Rappers show us that. They steal our music and rap to it.

Although I love the Isley brothers, this is a perfect example of a cover song that should not have changed the style of the song. The message of this song is not being represented here in this Soul context.

You can tell who the real leader of the Isley Brothers was. Rudolph was the Man. His dress, swag, style ❤🙏. You know it. He was definitely a Leader and not a follower. Trend setter trailblazer A force to be reckoned with. GOD has smiled on him and his family Amen 🙏 HALLELUJAH🙏 GLORY TO ALMIGHTY GOD 🙏❤🦾🦾🦾
