Which assist system is the one marked as blue car on the selection display? In another Golf I saw that in the display, it shows that blue "wall" in front of itself, but not the blue car...so which assist is missing?

Skoda's (UK) infotainment system is full of faults, there is always a function that is not working with starting the engine. Sat Nav is useless, cannot find on its map well known places, not to mention about navigating there. UK post codes don't work either.

I just bought a Nissan X-Trail e-Power and it currently has a slightly higher city fuel consumption than expected, around 8 liters. We are still getting used to maximizing its capabilities for saving fuel. I saw in the video that you have the B mode activated and the E-pedal deactivated. Do you think the B mode is more efficient compared to the E-pedal, or is it a matter of preference?
@1001cars
@1001cars 3 күн бұрын
e-pedal (similar to B mode) can higher the consumption but in very specific situations and the difference will be small. I think, the most important reason for high fuel consumption is low mileage of your car. It should have at least 1500 km to be efficient, this is what I heart from Nissan experts.
@Cucnne
@Cucnne 3 күн бұрын
@@1001cars It really has low mileage, less than 150 km at the moment. I also take into account that I live in Spain and right now the temperatures are around 30ºC. Not very favorable for the air conditioning (it's impossible to drive without it). Thank you for your response and great videos.
@1001cars
@1001cars 3 күн бұрын
@@CucnneGreat :) High temperature and using AC during such weather do not higher the consumption very much. Try to make some longer runs (especially on the highway), but not fast driving (nothing like hard acceleration) and check the consumption again. I hope, it will be much lower :)

@1001cars I know how it works. I own an e-power. Lift off the accelerator pedal in B mode, and you will immediately start to slow down. B mode is the 2nd highest regeneration mode. I find changing from eco to standard a much better option as you lose less forward motion whilst gaining more regeneration. B mode on steep downhill sections of road is useful for controlling your speed and giving regeneration without incurring wear on the brakes. E-pedal is useful in town driving, but I would suggest that it's reserved for speeds up to 30mph. There's a short drive of 16 miles that I make regularly, and regularly, I achieve 99.9 mpg. I do recommend using the various drive options to your advantage. Too many people claim that the e-power system is not efficient and that fuel consumption is poor. I would suggest that the lack of efficiency is down to the driver rather than the car.
@1001cars
@1001cars 5 күн бұрын
@@Raw-Coffee-Bean Mostly you are right in terms how it works, but more regeneration does not mean better fuel economy. But, the most interesting thing: show me the movie with your drive and getting 99 mpg UK. The dash has to be visible. If what you say is a true, you are the most efficient Qashqai e-power driver in the whole world.
@Raw-Coffee-Bean
@Raw-Coffee-Bean 5 күн бұрын
@1001cars I assume you're calling me a liar? I fully understand that more regeneration doesn't mean better fuel economy. So why are you using B mode so often? Surely, the two points of using B mode is more regeneration and engine braking ! (Effectively) I don't post videos. I don't care if you or anyone else believes my claims. The only person I need to prove anything is myself. I know that what I stated is true. Clever people can edit videos. Perhaps you're one of those clever people? The bottom line for me is that the Nissan e-power system is efficient, and anyone that finds they are not getting good returns on their mpg that is down to their driving style not a failure of the technology.

@1001cars ps, I read a comment on another Qashqai e-Power review where the person claimed to be able to drive 30 miles in EV mode. I would suggest they must be the best driver of an e-power vehicle anywhere in the world. Almost 15 miles per Kw is mind blowing!

Nice test! I remember the 2nd gen MX-5 with the 1.9 6-speed was a catastrophe in terms of consumption. 6,7 l/100 km driving VERY slowly on back roads during summertime. Never tried to drive it "dynamically". How can a car so light and flat like a pancake have such a terrible fuel economy? 4,9 at 90 for the model in the video seem more adequate.

It seems that there are at least 1001 Frosty guys who do not understand quality, comfort and performance over other things. I have an electric bike - very efficient, but I use quality car for different goals. ID4, 5, Skodas, Konas- very nice cars - but it is like comparing Skoda to Audi -;).140km/h with this efficiency and comfort is an excellent achievement. iX ugly and not so practical inside, with cheap feel of components is not up to the pair. iX even does not have a handle to rest your hand above a head. Flimsy door with window going up down an inch every time you open and close a door - so enjoying - thanks "frameless" door design. Just my 3.3 cents. BTW. excellent summary of consumption during different speed tests.

This car was designed for long range driving as a competition for german limousines. It offers very good comfort with great fuel consumption (constant GPS 140 km/h around 7L/100km) Some will say that this is a bit more than diesel but since it is a hybrid it doesn't choke in the city. Reliability is another factor.

hi, I have 3008 mild hybrid since January 2024, and when weather is not very hot, the consumption is very good (in my case, style of driving, etc, is around 6l/100km or less). Now that is very hot (more than 34-35 degrees), the consumption is more like 8 l/100km. The Air Condition, in hot conditions and if you are driving during midday, keeps the engine running longer, which increases consumption
