2024 Toyota Yaris Cross HEV 130HP has full hybrid drivetrain with 1.5l petrol engine (inline-3) + electric. System power: 96 kW (130 HP), FWD, e-CVT transmission. WLTP homologation figures: 4.5 - 5.2 l/100 km combined. I checked Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid130 2024/2025 on a trip with mostly city and urban driving. Finally I achieved on ~30.7 km (~19.1 mi) distance such fuel consumption (economy): 2.9 l/100 km | 81.1 mpg US | 97.4 mpg UK. Time with combustion engine off (EV mode): 49:30 mm:ss out of 01:01:00 (~81%). See the whole trip user review.

Did they approve the sound proofing of the engine? The hybrid system is quiet, but when the 3-cylinder kicks in, the sound is horrible!

Yes, it is quieter inside the cabin compared to the pre-facelift model.

It seems like, this engine version as cross vs normal yaris are having similar consumption. another video as yaris hybrid was 2.8lt. Am I correct?

Did the engine have a cold start, or was it pre-warmed? If it was four 15 minute drives each from cold start mpg would be lower. Was the acceleration and braking rates the same as average non-hybrid cars or was the car hypermiled?
