I think the show found its best form in Season 4. I wish they had kept Gary in season 5.

As much as I miss Joe, it would have been kind of cool to see two quirky sisters married to equally quirky brothers.

I really wish the episode titles didn't spoil the storyline. So glad TV producers don't do that anymore.

As this was produced by the MTM people… Rhoda’s show just seemed to be behind the 8 ball somewhat considering her spin off was in it’s early days of MTM. I did love most of the casting.By not getting through it’s 5 th season I feel it was trying to stand on it’s last legs. Such a shame and waste of incredible talent… something just went … off … and it derailed slowly. It must have been very hard to film that last episode for the actors, knowing how rough and sudden the decision was for it’s removal. It could have been handled so much better for everyone concerned. It really was a ‘terrific’ show. Ringgg…. ‘It’s Carlton here , your doorman…thanks Carlton… what is it”? Thanks for all the laughs Carlton… you will be missed😊

Carlton’s little interludes always puts a smile on my dial. Funny how such a presence can make an impact… never get to see him clearly in the cameo roles… and I don’t think that was him either, just a stand in. We all need some silliness in our lives every now and again. I would be curious to see if his lines were ab libbed or as written. Funny guy 😊

If we are being honest, Valerie Harper had great chemistry with eveyone, even Kenneth McMillan. He was great and gave the show two more seasons. This episode is funny even tho the actual soul had already been sucked out of this show by this point in the run.

Horrible. Why do i find it to be like comfort food ? The show was so bad at this point, we just watched because the characters were so beloved.

Valerie Harper said it herself that Rhoda was a character who the female audience can relate to / identify with. So why insist on repeatedly bringing back the characters that annoy Rhoda? i.e., they annoy the audience too, because they are not aligned with Rhoda’s persona. Looking back, this whole season was filled with them. Season 4 marked the silent exits of Gary and Sally. They were at least solid characters that provided some solid ground through the misadventures. It became quite chaotic at the end. The focus on Rhoda was lost. Still enjoyed watching.

Rhoda is always in her sister's life. Brenda was right to tell her to MYOB! Rhoda tells Brenda she is bending over backwards for Benny...but Rhoda did the same for Joe, and also took a bunch of junk off of him...then lost him. Maybe she's jealous that Brenda has a man who loves her, and Rhoda doesn't.

Rhoda’s mother is the only character that didn’t evolve at all. She’s such a stereotypical Jewish mother. That seems unfair. The actress was so talented and could have played a better character.
