Yeah in water it's insane, but it wouldn't necessarily need nerfs. I'd just like it to have a more viable land kit as well

Many solo carnis can deal with pachys if you play right. Alio has a big advantage if you're trying to chase down and catch pachys because it's much faster than they are. Pachys do out-corner alio so you'll have to be careful of that though.

Pachy would also make the list now. It just got some big buffs and is really good at hit and running! Great survivability. Thanks for watching

I use stam regen cause I play mostly land sucho/sucho with dasp. It helps a lot with land fights. Otherwise water speed sub is best but that’s usually if you’re going full water kit which won’t pair well with dasp (for obvious reasons lol)

It has, and you can still use it with a friend, you just have to ungroup during combat. It’s a little annoying but that’s what I usually do. Hollow bones would be the next best pick but it’s a lot less useful than SotF overall

I don't think it's unusable, heavy bite is ruined for sure but piercing bite didn't get much worse. Other than that it's completely unchanged. It still has really good speed and bone break. It's still insanely strong when paired with a heavy hitter like sucho :)

@@WhoAsked-ut4st Well nothing in its kit really changed when fighting a bars, so idk what to tell you... Piercing does 120 instead of 150 so it'll just take a few more pierces to kill bars than it did before. Everything else should be exactly the same cause you won't be using heavy bite vs bars

I personally love sucho, allo is decent too, but they all have pretty different play styles

I don't play modded so I can't speak for PT Utah, but achillo is quite good on officials

How did they need nerfs before lol? Pachy was useless before this patch and so was Alberta. Alberta could be run down and killed by pretty much everything larger than it, and everything smaller than it could just run away. Pachy only had escapability before this patch, it was incapable of dealing decent damage at all. Now it’s on par with things like achillo or cerato, and it should be as those dinos are essentially the carni counterpart to pachy in size, speed and build. And Alberta can at least hold its own in fights now and actually survive, there was very little chance you live through any real engagement on Alberta before this patch.

@@Khanware A pachy nit supposed to be strong lol A pachy could easily kill any raptor ans now they can just simply kill rexes again. Alberta olso could kill anything bedor the buff i literally saw them killing rexes. It really do not need much skill and it was perfect already and could outrun anything witch can kill it.

Is this a joke Alberta is so extremely weak it has no chance not one single chance solo to survive unless it’s a baby attacking it. It’s a herd Dino but it needs something to stay half way alive solo or in twos

There has been a big uptick in hatz recently lol. Although uno reverse card cause I’ve killed dozens of hatz on my pachy via pachy’s great maneuverability. It’s pretty easy to body block, dodge hits, charge, and repeat to prevent takeoff. I’m striking back for the pachys!

@@Khanware i was at Gp with my alio Yesterday, there was a group of Like 3-4 hatzes there that Made it their job to drop pachys. When they were asked they Said its for "Population Control" xD

There are a lot of toxic players on again unfortunately. I made a kill on Alberta, I was showing after the kill though. I then led another “friendly” Alberta to the kill so they could have the trophy cause I didn’t need it. They crouched at me, took the trophy, and tried to murder me 10 seconds later. I had to jump off a cliff to take an out of combat death as there was no way I was fighting on 1hp

Well generally yes, usually good things are a bit boring at times lol. But I’d argue apex gameplay is far more boring than these picks (with the exception of ano). Achillo is anything but boring

What about it? Sadly it’s just how it is on officials. I run into those size groups quite frequently when playing. We pride ourselves here on pushing back and fighting against those huge groups as small groups ourselves. If you wanna join the fight, you’re in the right place :)

@@Khanwarenot about joining the fight I messed with a big one the other night killed a lot of their smaller adults dinos and made a lot of their big ones fall off and die of mountains path of titans needs more stricter consequences or at least a report system that works for this or goes to real people they are quite happily and fast to chat ban u for 14 days for talking trash to these scummy groups but won’t stop the problem which is them pretty pathetic of a company tbh and they are killing everyone even the new players ruining their game and making Them quit very sad

@@codfallouttactics I don’t disagree, but the devs have made it publicly clear they aren’t against mega and mix packing. They often release updates that support that kind of behavior. I know it often ruins the game for solo players or new players, but that’s a huge part of what I’ve dedicated my channel around - taking down these giant packs and making content for the rest of you to stay informed with game changes and informational videos to help everyone get better so we can fight back as solos or small groups. It’s the only thing we got!

Agreed, there’s no point in running it now. Also with the damage nerf, might as well just use default bite in its place because it’s only 20 less damage now (70 vs 90 lol)

Heavy bite being the same CD as piercing… might as well just remove it. You can get off 10 regular bites in the time it takes to heavy bite again 😂

Gotta be a lil careful on achillo tho, while it definitely has the firepower, it doesn’t out speed pachy if pachy is running speed hide. I 2v1’d 2 achillos on stream as pachy and won with more than 1/3 hp left lol

Yep! I always value turn rate over tail attacks on smaller fast dinos. You shouldn't be getting tail ridden/should easily be able to get out of one if you're smaller and fast :)

I have an achillo combat guide out currently and I plan to make more combat guides/dino guides in the future :)

Player turning/aiming bound to mouse is an industry standard because they're essentially one in the same - especially in PoT. The way you can bend your head in one direction while sprinting/in the other direction is by using strafe. You sprint and hold A or D whilst turning your mouse the opposite direction of (A) or (D) to aim attacks on that side as you move. This will allow you to run in a straight line with your head turned ~ 90 degrees (so you can bite in other directions as well). This is the basis of learning how to successfully pull of hit and run attacks (where you attack passing by your target, not running into them). If you're new to pc, I'd say just practice some more! Edit: You can do the same whilst holding S and looking backwards with your mouse. Allows for forward movement while looking backwards which is helpful for checking if you're being pursued, or occasionally helpful on a dino with tail attack as their only source of damage (steg, ano, etc)

I use left alt for precise move. Easy key to reach with your thumb. Sometimes you just have to sprint, it's obviously situation dependent :) It'll all come with practice! I don't play deathmatch, but it might be a tough place to learn distancing and timing, etc. I imagine people won't care much about dying so people will play much more aggressive/less smart. I learned all my combat skills on official servers. Obviously more risk, but more people play more cautiously more often
