Thank you, Bert. It was a Friday in November, and I’m guessing by the time I started my ride that most people were already at work. Traffic does pick up at certain times around here, but overall it’s like what you see here.

Thank you! I’ve done very few upgrades: I have an LED headlight, custom seat cover, and a cup holder for my frequent stops at Dunkin Donuts! ☕️ 🍩

Is your Vespa a 150 or 300cc? I know those two Hondas are 125cc bikes.

It’s a 300. Justin and Alex were concerned that I’d be bored riding along with them on their 125s, but I enjoy taking it easy.

​@heckadude I live 25 minutes from Wrigley.. I ride along Clark,Addison and all the surrounding roads..it's a great ride..AND you will see &meet lots of other scooter riders along the way who stop and the grill,cafes and coffee shops..as well as Montrose harbor,foster beach and the oak Street area but you definitely gotta do the Sheridan road drive through evanston into willmette up to highland park...tons of beach cove roads on that route...great views and other riders..

Nice ride. I like the way you switch the sections. My family has property between Greenwood furnace and Belleville, and I ride my dual sport there periodically (will be there over 4th of July weekend this year). Last year we were up at the top of Jack's mountain and there was a hang-glider guy getting ready to jump off.

Thank you. Taking Greenwood Road to Belleville has become one of my favorite rides. I love the way you emerge from the forest; the sudden view of the Big Valley is awe inspiring. I’ve never seen someone hang glide off of Jacks Mountain. I bet that is quite a sight!

Ha, yes. My original seat cover is the red one with racing stripes. Since I work on campus, it felt wrong to be sporting red during Penn State football season, so I usually switch things up in the late summer.

It was our first time visiting Kettle Creek and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I hadn’t initially noticed the roar of the waterfall from Suzanne’s campsite down the street.

Like watching your clips (from australia) for the beautiful and varied back roads and small towns of your part of US. Too much (not just in US…) is spoiled by strip malls and bland tracts of suburbia, great to see it’s not all gone that way.

Thanks for watching! You’re right, sometimes I wonder what forethought went into some of those tracts you describe. Other times, I encounter an old train trestle or decaying building and find myself imagining the same scene from 100 years ago.

Ooh, I think Suzanne may have read “The River We Remember.” I googled it and the cover looks familiar. When kayaking in familiar spots, we’ve noticed some leaning trees like this are present one year and then gone the next. It must be something to see when they finally go for a swim.

I was taken aback by the beauty of the emerald colored stream as I made that turn into the campground. So far, the teardrop seems to be the perfect size for we entry level campers, and we use it primarily for sleeping or getting in out of the rain. I’m fairly certain this was my first visit to Kettle Creek. Despite only being 30 or so miles away (as the crow flies), it feels much further given the indirect access.

Great video. There is nothing like riding a Vespa GTS, nothing. I had big bikes in the 1990’s but they were never as much fun as a Vespa GTS, been riding one for ten years now and it still puts a smile on my face.

Completely agree! I don’t have the riding experience that you do, but I do love the ability the GTS affords me to travel both near and far, as well as the ease to navigate and capture the experience.

That's some hip a__ music! I was really flying around that corner before going up the hill needed the rpm's. If a scooterist in Italy saw this video they'd say, "Ooo it's pretty in Pennsylvania I wish I lived there" That's some cool and crazy sites and things at the market. I should have bought that vintage helmet. I'll look up the speed graphic camera now. That's a magical place (to me) that Belleville market thing. "That's how the magic happens in case you were wondering!"

I enjoy meeting the good folks at the market and listening to you talking with them about life, not to mention witnessing your negotiations with them. I came away feeling glad to have experienced the magic and amazed this all happens just a few miles away over the mountains. It’s a different world. BTW, two thumbs up on the cappuccino. It’s amazing what goes on around us if we take the time to look. Paul does a good job of doing that. He had some interesting conversations with the folks at the market, too. Yes, we just barely got back before the heavy rain came down…that would have changed the adventure a bit!
