It’s fantastic to see that the wood is Spalted. It makes the wood so much more interesting than I think..

Hi David, quick question, I'm new to wood turning,and I'm hooked (your fault 😂) I'm about to purchase the JET JWL-1440 VSK 14"×40", My question is this; will I be able to create vases with this size?
@DavidAdamsen7 сағат бұрын
Hi Michelle, that lathe should be able to handle most turning up to 14 inches in diameter. You may need to anchor it to the floor if you plan to turn anything heavy or out of balance.

@DavidAdamsen Yep,I saw the video where you said, " Yes, I'm actually straddling my lathe."🤣🤣 So,I was thinking about using 2×8 blocks?

How much did this sell for? The work that went into it must make it at least $2000, right? Worth every Penny for this level of craftsmanship.

The process is fascinating and no doubt takes a ton of skill but the result is so ugly. I don’t under why anyone would want something like that.
