@xpeditionpgh24 күн бұрын
It’s the Garmin XT. It has free trial maps that actually work pretty well. I don’t really love this GPS over all. It feels like a device that hasn’t been updated in 20 years. The search feature is awful because it use four square to find landmarks, gas stations and the like. I’ve have been really lost because of this thing. But if your following a premade gxp route it does well. Even like this trip I had no idea where I was going it is easy to follow the trails. My favorite feature Tracks where it records you path. That makes it easy to share a route or find your why out if your lost.

Man, your M&M experience, crash and all, was waaaay better than mine. I went once, last year, and it was the first time I took my T7 off road and I found myself stuck in tight trails. I didn't find any of the wider, straighter trails and after dumping it four times in an hour, I gave up. Will have to give it another shot, and try to find some trails more suited to my skill level.

Never heard of the BDR till now, looks like fun. However rule of thumb, dont ever open a gate, even the ATV roads have go arounds that are very well marked. Second, you might want to do that out of peak hunting season, you get lost again down one of those trails and encounter some hunters, things might get a little dicey.
@xpeditionpgh27 күн бұрын
Very good advice! I should have known then but I had read different ideas about these gates. Also opening the gate definitely didn’t help me find my way back to the trail anyway. But lesson learned.
