I have the same generator, wondering if you had to replace your circuit breaker on the machine.? Mind had broken and needs replacement or rebuilt but not having any luck locating a replacement. Any suggestions.?

I got lucky enough to get my brake actuator replaced free due to the warranty on it being extended out to 10 years (still had to pay rental car for 9 days while it was at the dealer). However, the replacement/new brake actuator has gone out after less than 6 years since being installed. I thought it was a new design that supposed to last much longer for such an expensive part. I guess not. The paperwork that was provided from the Toyota service department after the installation indicated replacement parts are only warranted for 90 days. I don't see how the gas savings for a hybrid is worth it having to pay for these brake actuator problems.

Yea I have a 95 4x4 automatic. 3.54 or 3.55. I hated the auto from day one. I guess if you lived in a large town with a lot of stop and go traffic it might have some value. I don't miss the automatic

Build a cover. Not fully enclosed, at least 20- 30 ft away. Even with every door, window etc sealed, no house is 100 percent air tight. MOVE thst thing away

The only thing i hate about small diesel generators is the noise..those tiny engines at 3600rpm scream a lot.. 1500rpm models make a big difference. 3cyl ones are real quiet. I have a 6kw cummins 7.5kva & it runs at 1500rpm , very quiet and reliable generator. During short outages like for 1hr or so. I have a honda eu30i. The eco throttle makes it very quiet but at full load it is louder than the cummins c7.5

I didn't even know this was an issue with these cars ! I have a 2008 HiHybrid and a bit spooked now about this! My brake release groans a bit after the car is parked overnight in the cold sometimes but that isn't an electric noise more of a mechanical groan at times. Though not had this issue This is a serious safety issue !

I own a 2008 HiHy in great condition. 180xxx miles. Display showed the same 4 warnings and I had the same issues. Took it to a Toyota dealership in Vancouver. They quoted me $4,000 to replace brake actuator and said "it might be the problem.. we aren't sure but we would probably start with that." Bought one online and had it installed by a mechanic. 6 months later (aka this week) the girlfriend was driving to Reve and the brakes went out on a ferry. Got the same ABS warning as before, plus traction control warnings and the dash traction light keeps flashing whenever she starts the car. Not sure our next move. LewCROWLEY might be onto something there with the DC motor issue. It runs and runs whenever we start the car, or turn it off. Always a "buzzzzzz...........buzzzzzz...........buzzzzz......." under the hood.

My pampered '06 Highlander brakes failed two evenings ago. They finally grabbed late. I rear ended a car. Thank God everyone but vehicles survived. Shame on Toyota! This is a well and long documented safety issue, but I was never alerted about it.

Open the lid and at the bottom of the tub take off the little round cap with a flat blade screwdriver, it prys off if you get it in one of the grooves. Tighten the nut, 10mm socket, mine was a little loose, but I finally did a load with no UE's. This helped me maybe it will help someone else.

My 4th gen does the same thing when it’s below freezing until about a minute and a half after start up. Unless of course I get above 15-20 MPH. I thought about deleting it but when we had the recent Texas Blizzard it really helped get the truck going so probably won’t.

I have one that runs quite a bit better it doesn’t have piston slap and has had a way better life
