Totally agree with you Mate. This is indeed the 'Pinnacle' of Triumph and British Twins. What a Fantastic Machine. ❤

Was going to buy one of these back in the day. That is until I actually tried one. Damn thing tried to hurt me. I loved the looks and the torque but not the starting ritual.

Having been a BSA rider beginning in March '70, and lasting til late in the decade, I could not be more envious. I've been away from the Brit bikes for several decades now but even when carrying on on my Blackbird, I still think of myself as a BSA guy. I could not be more envious.

My dad had a 59 pan, first bike I was ever on . Used to tie me in front of him when I was a year and a half old and take me for rides. That was in 1964.

Love airheads, have a 78 r100/7 s. Would love an older one from 60's, but expensive. Friends older one blew up, clogged slinger. No interest in newer BMW's, way too gadgetized. Airheads are primitive brutes. Subscribed!

That was my dream bike 55 years ago. I rode some European 350cc single cylinder street bikes back then. Light and nimble is what I like in a bike.

One way a 441 was good was as a cheater open class scrambler... much lighter than the 650s, 500s twins. This one in a Rickman frame. When it quit the pits were close by...

My first ride was on a bored out BSA 441 made ready for the races at Pepperell MA in 1968 .They had bought it from Ray Brock who was Alice of Alice Resteraunt's Husband and a dirt racer in STockbridge ... Kick starting that high compression could break your ankle if you didnt know what you were doing ... :) It took some work keeping the front wheel on the ground ...

if you aren't in a real hurry there's hardly a nicer motorcycle for twisty old roads. I have a friend with one and he lets me take it out. I'm a Ducati guy and usually have a bike with 3 times the power of one of these - I'm tip toeing on a road like this.
@vintagebike_ger8 күн бұрын
this flux you used is not the correct one for this type of materials. thats the reason it doesnt flow good. i would be surprised if the joint would last long. it´ would be annoying not to finish a race because of a broken cable.. or even worse getting lost in the desert..

My first bike was in 1973 and it was a 1971 BSA Victor 500 B-50T. This video you've posted is the single best thing I've ever seen for conveying what it's like to ride one. The tractor-like thudding along with a glorious sound, nothing succeeding in even slowing you down, the jars and jolts as the terrain takes its toll directly on you, and then some weird problem killing the rest of the day. That was EXACTLY my experience!

Sure wish I could ride with you on my Rickman Metisse Mk III TR6C. But I'm in Alaska. Nothing sounds like the beautiful sound of an old pushrod British twin.

Thank you for another wonderful episode, Bill. Liam’s camera work is great, but his commentary is priceless….. “Show off.” 😁 You’re a better man than I ever was, riding side-hilled single track on that beast. As I’ve said before, I ❤️ that bike, and your setup mods are on point. What I appreciate the most is you’re not “restoring”, maintaining all of its hard earned patina. Good job!
