Great year cool design a true classic.

In 1993 I had the pleasure of talking with a gentleman in Gatesville, TX who owned both a '57 and '58 Fury and I got to see them in their all their Buckskin Beige glory. The '57 was in need of a lot of restoration but the '58 was damn near cherry. The only major issue was the rocker panels were rusted out. I spent a good hour or so listening to him tell me all about the cars. I learned a few things I hadn't known about dual carbs, like how you had to be pushing down a good ways already before that second carburetor even engaged. If I'd had any way to swing it at the time I'd have signed my life away to be able to buy that car from him.

Louvers look good but it's definitely easier to clean the glass without them. The set I had to a great deal of work to remove them, maybe they're more user friendly today.

Personally, I want to eventually put louvers on my 69 Mustang, to keep that sun off the rear package tray. I already have a rear spoiler and like the look of it. Best of luck with your choices!

Louvers but only the factory original kind,but I'm not a fan of a spoiler,but each to there own.

I just subscribed because of the neat & unusual vehicles you feature .. personally, I have a short attention span & can see some tweaking in your walk-arounds. You tend to spend a bit too much time on each aspect of the condition.. Just a brief reference is all that is needed to understand. Just my opinion...The bulk of this particular (as it is the first I have watched) was very intertwining!

You complain because it doesn't have a tach, power brakes or power steering. lol. You have a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. You should rejoice. I have wanted a 1969 Fastback my entire adult life but have never been fortunate enough to be "in the right place at the right time." I'm coming up on 60 years old and my odds of it ever happening for me aren't looking good. 😁 Enjoy that car, man. I'm happy for you. 👍

I honestly just don’t believe people on KZfaq just find cars like this. It is like everyone on KZfaq always finds these amazing “Barn Finds” or “just sitting” cars. I don’t buy it anymore.

You could use a piece of the donor cars quarter panel to fix the gouge by the turn signal in Christine. That is gonna be a nice looking car. There arent many left as solid as yours.

Have fun with it. Are you gonna just get it to a nice driver and add creature comforts? Show cars are nice but they never get driven which sucks.

I have a 58 2dr ht and i love the front but actually prefer the 57 backlights so thinking about to convert.

Brings back memories guys, I had a Raven Black Mach 1 with 428CJ, red interior, red and gold Mach1 stripes, rear window louvres, only thing that ever beat me on the street was a Hemi Cuda, only because I lost the clutch in 3rd gear!!! Thanks for the turn back time!!!!

Very informative video! I have wanted a 57/58 Plymouth since I was 12 and saw the Christine movie. I am now 39 and I bought a 58 Plymouth Savoy 4 door sedan. My husband and I restore mainly Pontiac GTOs for a living, and he is doing the metalwork, bodywork, and priming on my car named Lil Red. I bought my car about 7 years ago on EBay. I aaved it from being a parts car. I had to have it in sotrage for that long, but we have been working hard on it since last spring when it got delivered to our house. My husband got the flat head six motor running and the 3 on the tree works! Something about these cars that they find you! Mine sure did!
