That was a long time in the water my longest was only 4hr 30min and I had to sit on the beach for a while before I could stand up. I was towing an 8lb bass though which ended up on the BBQ with some white wine. Its amazing when you get water clarity like that also makes for great filming, Cracking video.

Aloha. It might not be legal there. I used to night dive for lobster in Hawaii, we could only use our hands.

@@JoePkSpearfishing It’s literally a clear net, more elongated than round, with a deeper bag/net. Btw I used to night dive for for lobster in Hawaii. I always tried to find bags with a mesh lower half and a solid upper half. Made getting the bugs in easier especially since we had spiny lobster. I say this because you harvest spider crabs.

Massive gold star Joe for not taking that lobster Joe even though it may have officially been ‘legal’. Drives me mad watching creators on this site measuring over and over to see if it’s 89 or 90mm. If you’re really not that sure it’s too small, put it back surely. Great video as usual 👍🏻

Thanks Peter. I think in Ireland they also have a maximum size now to preserve good mums and dads. Seems like a sensible idea.

Amazing. I’m looking at giving this ago. Just been scubadiving and snorkling in Egypt, how the hell do you stay down so long? How long do you go down for on each breath? Any tips?
@JoePkSpearfishing12 сағат бұрын
Good question! I've been thinking about making a video on this next. Stay tuned...
@jamesleagas585712 сағат бұрын
@@JoePkSpearfishingbrilliant. If you could do a video, “a dummies guide to free dive spear fishing” that would be amazing! Just back from Egypt, scuba and snorkelling was incredible, Cornwall in august, hoping to give the dove foraging/ spear fishing a go. I need to get the full clobber, and learn how to hold breath for longer. I run a lot, so I’m fit, but don’t seem to reach anything much more than holding my breath for 1minute when I tried in my house lol

Cool lobster hook, I have just ordered one from your website do they all come with a torch holder like the one in the video ? I have an orca torch similar to yours I think.
@JoePkSpearfishing13 сағат бұрын
The standard Start Point Lobster Hook is not fitted with the ORCA D550 torch mount as the mount attachment is custom made. If you are interested in purchasing the hook with the torch mount please call the shop on 07518 784 002 for more details. Please note the mount fitting will only hold the ORCA D550 torch . I hope this helps :)

Good man, Joe. Absolute blinder of a dive, and what a finish to your day. Stunning. Need to sort a weight belt, and a mask that doesn't leak, and I'll be poking about on the Helford and Fal estuaries. Just without the absolute skill, precision, and effort free smoothness you exhibit!!! Great video, thank you for sharing your day.

Great video Joe. Probably hard to do there, but a hole in the sand with coconut husks. You salt and spice the fish with garlic, chilli, shallots and rosemary. Place the fish on a metal flip rack. Light up the your wood and coconut husk and fan it so the smoke goes into the fish skin. This is a Balinese recipe and would be delicious with bass.

Excellent video as always Mr PK. You actually helped me clarify what a “mutilated” lobster is by definition by devon and seven. I had always assumed any missing part but it’s actually a mutilated tail that could disguise a v-notch. I’ve let many eating size lobsters go when missing a claw 😭
