I believe they did a combination of their own product designs and curation for the subscription packages. But yes, they definitely built a brand. It is almost next to impossible to get these kind of valuations without a real brand, real IP, and largely owning the customer lifecycle journey data from cold traffic to repeat customer

It depends on what business model you want to do. A lot of our sellers use wordpress, most of our ecommerce clients use Shopify. Though, Webflow is becoming bit of a fan favorite lately. Tons of options out there :-)

Great overview of passive income streams. I appreciate the honesty! I suppose the best way to have truly passive income is to diversify your income streams also with investments in stock and especially real estate. Relying uniquely on own business is risky if the ultimate goal is to work less. Maybe the right question to ask would be which online business model best suits me given my skillset, ability to learn new skills, risk adversity, and ultimately choice between time, energy, and money investment.

Absolutely. Though, I'd recommend you put seller financing in offers on businesses that start at $500k or higher sales price, otherwise another buyer may get the deal by offering full cash offers

Great video but---You say that he "creates entertaining videos that don't even mention his music". I've never seen one of those. Has anyone else? What I've seen him do is walk into the backyard and turn on a laptop and sing a 30 sec clip of one of his songs. HIS MUSIC. I've also seen him do clips where he talks about his business and marketing methods. But everyone who talks about Nic D constantly says that some kind of mythic video clips exist where "he doesn't even mention his music"...If this is true...where are those clips? Because I'd really like to learn from them. What was he doing in these mystery videos? What magical incredible unknowable activity was Nic D performing that had absolutely nothing to do with his music in these videos that don't seem to be real? I would genuinely like to know...his book never mentions these videos. I've read it twice cover to cover. But lots of folks doing reviews of Nic D and his methods keep talking about how he got attention by doing some sort of non-existent short form Instagram clips...I think what he did was SING on camera and use those as ads. He sent folks to his Spotify page where they could hear a whole Nic D playlist. And of course stare at his rather handsome face...That's what I think because that's what I've actually seen. I just wish someone would go into detail with actual proof that somewhere there a bunch of cool, entertaining videos of Nic D not promoting his music. I have never seen one. Even in the business and marketing clips...he is promoting his music.
