Notice he didn’t film plugging it in which takes 2 hours .While this may seem faster the vid is misleading it’s essentially impossible to plug the bigger of the 2 small ends in without damaging or putting too much pressure on the mother board otherwise you could try using pliers. Which could lead to slips and damage. You’re gonna be better off removing all of tue screw including the 4 silver screws holding the mobo in the center. Then you can safely lift it up enough to get your finger under to press it in. It seems silly to claim it takes 2 hours to do this. The real problem of damage is going to happen during screen removal. It will never adhere the same and you could crack it. The rest is just screws and memorization

Mine is just hard to click down I have to press very hard and its annoying since I do a lot of work with click drag maneuvers. Is the solution just a whole replacement or is there a way to "clean under the pad itself? Thanks

You cruised through the “lever” on the disconnection for the audio board in like one second. I don’t even know what the lever is or how to disconnect it and if I try to do it without more specific instructions, I’m gonna break the freaking thing so thanks for the detailed instructions. I now need to look on Google or some other place to figure out what the lever is and how I disconnect it without breaking it.

Excellent Video. Nice and slow with lots of useful commentary. I would, as pointed out by another video, connect the battery cable before positioning the battery because there is a bit of slack and once pressed into place with glue strips it is very difficult (or impossible) to move. Also, there is no resealing the top to make it waterproof - fine with me because I don't plan to go swimming with my phone. Great VIDEO Thanks !

I don't know if you'll see this comment since this video is from 8 years ago. At 10:10 (disconnecting the left speaker), I mistakenly took out the speaker plus the tiny "box" it is in; the the tiny "box" was pulled off the board. Did I ruin it? Does the tiny box need to be soldered back in a certain spot in order for the speaker to work? If it's unrepairable, I'll just use the right speaker.

Had to install a new screen because I cracked it whilst putting in a new battery. The kit i used didn't come with a metal prying tool or anyway to heat the glue around the screen! Anyway, managed to follow this excellent tutorial and my phone is back to 100% again. Be warned that some of the steps can be quite tricky and re-inserting the plugs can also be tricky!

Just a small note when closing back do not put the tall screws first it will be hard . Try to put the small 8 ones first then the tall ones will fit easily

I wish I had bought new speakers when I did the WiFi card upgrade lol. Did basically the same repair twice, because right after I did that, the speakers went out. Glad I changed them, they had 13 years of junk (not mine either, I just got the laptop) built up in them and the left speaker was shredded lol
