HI: Greetings from the sunny Okanagan again. Been setting up my shooting banks and came across something that may help me with sorting in post. After naming them somewhat like you suggested - I then when thru and set up the names for each 'Storage Folder' that each bank uses and the prefix for each file naming the same. If I have shot in all 4 modes then I have 4 folders to download and the images in each folder begin with a name associated to the folder. EG: Bank 'A' is my General/ Colour - Storage folder is number 101 - name is AZA_1 so - the folder is downloaded as 101AZA_1. File naming is AZA - image #899 shot using bank A would be named _AZA0899 (I shoot in Adobe Colour Space) Once I get everything dialed in and ready to save I plan on using an old small SD card to keep the baseline on so that I can always get back to my baseline settings. Your thoughts? Bruce B

@raincoastphoto 2 күн бұрын
Hey Bruce, I see where you are going with it and could see it being useful for sure. I have in the past used different import settings in Lightroom based on ISO, so different edit settings were applied. It worked great for that generation of software but what I found was as the software evolved those setting all changed (adobe or topaz denoise etc) and with new cameras a lot of things are constantly changing. And i find now if I need an image I will almost always re-edit it anyway. I keep everything pretty simple now with just a name change on import name_date_cameraprefix ie.Clarke_240812_8435 This way all files will line up in order in lightroom by name. It is a great idea to use an sd card to save your baseline. I do find that my baseline tends to evolve over time so make sure to keep it updated as well. Cheers

Hi there , this does not work for me . Only way it works on slow motion for me is to set video file type H.264 8bit (MP4) and then select frame size / frame rate to 1920 x 1080 ; 30p x4 Can you please advise how do you do slow motion. Thanks
@raincoastphoto
@raincoastphoto 12 күн бұрын
HI, yeah all of the slow motion is done on the software side of things if you record in 60 or 120fps you can then slow it down to 24 or 30fps before placing it on your timeline in Davinci Resolve or Premiere. This allows you to record in H265 or N-raw for 60/120fps or Prores for 60fps. There are a few steps in order to make this happen and I will be covering it in a future video. Cheers

Excellent footage! I saw both of these aircraft along with their "bird dog" spotter aircraft at Abbotsford International Airport, while they were getting fuel on July 27th and 28th. On the 27th I had the pleasure of meeting the crew who invited us aboard to have a quick look inside the aircraft and answered all of our questions about it. Then they hopped back in and took off again for their next bash at fighting the fires over there. Amazing machines, and a great crew.

Forest fires are devastating Canadian forests and towns. This aircraft is obviously a major valuable tool for fighting forest fires. How many of these aircraft are there? How old are these aircraft? Who is manufacturing this, or an equivalent aircraft today? Why aren't there hundreds of these aircraft currently on order?
@theRICKbowman

@@theRICKbowman Thanks. Canada is struggling to meet it's NATO military commitment to spend 2% of the GDP on Canada's military and Canada has recently been called out and embarrassed for not meeting its' commitment. How about Canada order a hundred or so of these water bombing aircraft under the military budget, to be owned by the military, but distribute them to the provinces that are being plaqued by wildfires? Provide the provinces with much needed fire fighting equipment, save Canada's valuable forests, protect the towns and cities in the path of wildfires and get closer to meeting our NATO commitment. The military budget serves both Canada's domestic requirements and foreign commitments. When the equipment is not urgently needed in Canada, the aircraft could serve other nations, such as the California wildfires. I understand that his aircraft can also serve very well in a search and rescue function and in monitoring Canada's sovereign coastline, tacking everything from foreign fishing trollers, submarines and smugglers. What do you think???
