Replace the cam/crank/ICM wire harness. The wires inside the conduit will degrade and wires will short together causing all kind of gremlins. Take it out and take off all conduit to inspect all wires. I didn't believe it until I saw it happen on mine.

I just had a regulator fail and send the fuel down the vacuum line to the point it filled the crank case with fuel
@snowrider5150Ай бұрын
Couldn’t you just leave the valve electrical connection on and then start it and get the same effect?
@JoeTheAutoGuyАй бұрын
No because the solenoid is supposed to pulse if it’s disconnected and still drawing in vacuum the valve has failed because it’s normal state is shut and closed should be drawing in no air
@livefreevinnieАй бұрын
What If the purge valve is stuck closed? There will be no vacuum on idle with the plug connected.

Valid but usually you will get a no purge flow dtc if it’s stuck closed

You could put some anti corrosion compound such as copper anti seize, contact preserver, etc. on the threads and terminals. Then wipe off excess, then spray with weatherproofing wax such as LPS-3, Kano weatherproofing, or like in the video use undercoating tar.

I don’t get why you need to take apart the ebrake assembly? If you are winding the piston back what mechanical difference does it make to do that? Is there something in the actuator that you don’t want to twist?

WD 40 displaces water. Also displaces oil, grease and other lubricants. It does not protect from water, moisture or rust. Spray and forget and soon the part may be covered in rust. Use it wisely. It cleans and lubricates, then evaporates and lets moisture do it's thing.
