Hi would it be possible to get the file for tis design? I need a new pump leather. Thanks

This may be a rookie question, but did you have to boil the linseed oil yourself or do they come in bottles that were pre-boiled lol.

Hi it comes like that
@vandalsgarage Жыл бұрын
@6atlantis you often will see it referred to in online forums simply as "blo". Its in inexpensive preservative. All my axes and wood handled screwdrivers are treated with blo, as well as the Adirondack chairs on my deck.

But why, the old word and pitting is what gives that screwdriver it's charm, it looks old and that's what is so charming about it.
@RepairRenewRestore Жыл бұрын
Why not ? I wanted it to look new. Each to their own

Are you sure that that bend wasn't there because it was hand-forged, I have one and the bend was clearly there when it was made, it did not look like the kind of bend that results from use.
@collecter34562 жыл бұрын
I have one exactly like this. The back of mine appears to have been hit with a hammer as well. I think that was an added feature. Nice work.

Really nice job 👍 I inherited one of these from my grandfather but it had a damaged screw, I recently managed to get a replacement so I have started restoration. My only problem is that the 2 machine screws that retain the front plate for the quick release are missing as are the 2 bolts that fix the nut mechanism underneath, would you happen to know the thread type(s) and sizes of thes parts please ? I'm really hope to get my one looking as good as yours.

Nice job. I must admit I was wondering if you were going to get a flame roaring out the end when you applied the flame😂😂 Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

Wood and metal tools always catch my eye as they seem to compliment each other so well. Very well done on bringing this one back to good use or display. Your addition of brass pins really compliment and improve the final look of this tool. Many subscribers, yet few comments. WT?

Thankyou. Yes and considering I'm giving this one away if people comment like and subscribe I would have thought there would be lots more comments but never mind I'm glad you liked it as I enjoyed doing it

Nice job. When you look at the design of the handle it's obvious why these tools are called "guns."

Thanks. Yes they do look like a gun 🔫

Neat idea. As I haven't got a 3D printer I imagine a mold made out of wood can do the same thing. Not only that but it would be far more economical for one-off seals.
@RepairRenewRestore3 жыл бұрын
Yes you could router the size for the seal in wood and it would do the same. I only used the 3d printer as I have one 😆. Thanks for the comment, appreciate it
