"Dont Accuse Me" by Curtis Knight and the Squires, featuring Jimi Hendrix, is a remarkable track that captures the raw energy and talent of a young Hendrix before he rose to global fame. Recorded in the mid-1960s, this song is a testament to Hendrix's early musical prowess and his ability to elevate any track with his distinctive guitar playing. The song opens with a gritty, bluesy guitar riff that immediately sets a powerful tone. Hendrix's signature style is evident from the start, with his expressive and innovative guitar work shining through. His playing is both technically proficient and emotionally charged, showcasing the skills that would later make him a legend in the rock and blues genres. Curtis Knight's vocals are strong and passionate, delivering the song's accusatory lyrics with a sense of urgency and conviction. His voice has a raw, soulful quality that complements the blues-rock instrumentation perfectly. The lyrics speak to themes of betrayal and mistrust, common in blues music, and Knight's delivery adds an extra layer of intensity to the narrative. The instrumentation is tight and cohesive, with the band providing a solid foundation for Hendrix's guitar explorations. The rhythm section, featuring bass and drums, drives the song forward with a steady, pulsating beat, while the occasional organ flourishes add depth and texture to the arrangement. The overall production has a raw, unpolished feel that captures the spirit of the mid-60s rock and blues scene. One of the standout elements of "Don't Accuse Me" is Hendrix's guitar solo. His improvisational style, marked by fluid runs, bends, and expressive use of feedback, adds a dynamic and electrifying element to the track. Even in this early stage of his career, Hendrix's innovative approach to the guitar is evident, and his solo elevates the song to another level. The production quality, while reflective of its time, manages to capture the live, unfiltered energy of the performance. The slight imperfections and rough edges contribute to the song's authenticity, making it a compelling listen for fans of vintage rock and blues. "Dont Accuse Me" by Curtis Knight and the Squires, featuring Jimi Hendrix, is a fascinating glimpse into the early career of one of rock's greatest guitarists. The track combines strong vocal performance, solid musicianship, and Hendrix's exceptional guitar work to create a powerful and memorable piece of music. It remains an important part of Hendrix's early discography and a must-listen for fans of classic blues-rock. Thank you brother Dimitris for sharing this incredible musical collaboration! I'm truly amazed by these musical giants performing together! It's a masterpiece that touches the soul and brings joy to all who listen🙏

"Wish You Were Here" by the Bee Gees is a poignant and deeply emotional ballad from their 1989 album, "One." Written by Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, the song stands out as a tribute to their younger brother, Andy Gibb, who passed away in 1988. The track captures a sense of longing and sorrow, reflecting the brothers' grief and loss. The song begins with a gentle acoustic guitar, immediately setting a reflective and somber tone. The arrangement is minimal yet effective, allowing the heartfelt lyrics and the emotional depth of the performance to shine through. As the song progresses, subtle layers of keyboards and strings are introduced, adding to the melancholic atmosphere without overwhelming the simplicity of the composition. Barry Gibb's lead vocal performance is tender and full of emotion. His voice conveys a deep sense of yearning and sadness, perfectly capturing the song's theme of missing a loved one. The harmonies provided by Robin and Maurice add richness and depth, enhancing the overall emotional impact of the track. Their voices blend seamlessly, creating a hauntingly beautiful sound that is characteristic of the Bee Gees. Lyrically, "Wish You Were Here" is a straightforward yet powerful expression of grief and longing. Lines like "You're living in my dreams / You're always in my heart" and "Wish you were here" resonate deeply, conveying the pain of loss and the enduring presence of a loved one in memory. The simplicity and sincerity of the lyrics make them universally relatable, touching on a common human experience. The production of the song is polished and sensitive, with each element carefully balanced to maintain the song's introspective and somber mood. The acoustic guitar and strings create a gentle, almost ethereal backdrop that supports the vocal harmonies and enhances the emotional resonance of the lyrics. "Wish You Were Here" by the Bee Gees is a moving and heartfelt tribute that stands as one of their most emotionally impactful songs. The combination of sincere lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and understated instrumentation makes it a timeless ballad that resonates with anyone who has experienced loss. It is a testament to the Bee Gees' ability to convey deep emotion through their music, making it a standout track in their extensive catalog. * William "Sonny" Criss (23 October 1927 - 19 November 1977) was an American jazz musician. An alto saxophonist of prominence during the bebop era of jazz, he was one of many players influenced by Charlie Parker. William Criss was born in Memphis, Tennessee, United States and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15. He then went on to play in various bands including Howard McGhee's, which also featured Charlie Parker. Criss had developed his own, concise, bluesy tone by this point, and though his basic style did not vary much, his ability on the instrument continued to develop. Nevertheless, he continued to drift from band to band, and played on some records with Johnny Otis and Billy Eckstine.(wikipedia)💐

The Traffic was just too surrealistic to me in the 1960's, and also many bands wanted to experience and play sitar in those days following the Beatles and that Indian music guru Ravi Shankar. But I thought that didn't fit to contemporary pop music at all, containing real 'roots music' like blues, rhythm and blues & rockn'roll. For example I felt deeply Steve Winwood was much and way better earlier in the Spencer Davis Group... 🕵🏻🎶🤔👌 PS. Just too psychedelic for me is this number... 🤔😳

I HAVE GROWN TO APPRECIATE HIS VOICE MORE AS I HAVE AGED THE LAST FEW YEARS. EVEN WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN I REALLY LIKED HIS "SWEET EMBRACEABLE YOU" AND BOUGHT THE LP ALBUM ON WHICH IT WAS FEATURED. I WAS NOT PARTULICULARLY ENAMORED WITH THE TONE OF HIS VOICE AS I WAS WITH VIC DAMONE, TONY MARTIN, BROOK BENTON, JIM REEVES, FARON YOUNG, STEVE LAWRENCE, ROBERT GOULET, JOHNNY MATHIS, DAVID HOUSTON, GEORGE MORGAN and AL MARTINO. BUT HE OBVIOUSLY POSSESSED A FINE VOICE, RECORDED AWESOME SONGS, HAD SUPERB COLLARORATORS, PARTICULARLY ARRANGERS, ORCHESTRATORS AND MUSICIANS, AND HE WAS A FINE ACTOR AND RACONTEUR, HOST AND TALK-SHOW GUEST WITH A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND A SHARP WIT. I HONESTLY COULD NOT WAIT TO COMMEND YOU FOR POSTING ANOTHER SONG SINCE YOU WERE SO ACCOMODATING TO SWIFTLY POST THAT JOHNNY DESMOND RECORDING I LIKE SO MUCH. I FEEL SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE FOUND THIS TRUE MUSICAL TREASURE FROM YOUR VAULT OF 💎GEMS!💎 (TONY MARTIN RECORDED MY FAVORITE VERSION, BUT YET AGAIN, THE VIDEO OF IT THAT I COMMENTED ON HAS DISAPPEARED FROM YOU TUBE!🙈) THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN IN 1932 BY ELIAS PAUL "ALLIE" WRUBEL (1905-1973) WHO DIED FROM A HEART ATTACK AT AGE 68. IN 1947 HE CO-WROTE WITH RAY GILBERT THE OSCAR WINNING SONG "ZIP-A-DEE-DOO- DAH" FROM THE DISNEY FILM "SONG OF THE SOUTH". Avec appreciation toujours!🥂🎶🥂 Milton T. Moore, Jr. 🦋🦢🦋🦢🦋🦢🦋
