As the owner of an SRT4 ACR with the Stage 2 package, ive been around turbo fours for a long time. I'm here to tell you that 181 horsepower with nearly 200 foot-pounds of good, usable low-end torque is nothing to sneeze at for the demands of the Bronco Sport. The 3-cylinder is actually a good overall design with its problems having been largely hammered out. It is not slow at all. And gas mileage is consistently higher than EPA. Deal with it: 3 cylinder turbos are here to stay; even for performance applications like the GR-4. My biggest fear is that fact that the average driver does not understand how small turbo engines can do whar they do. Properly cared for, they can last as long as a naturally-aspirated equivalent. Lubrication and heat are its enemy.

yea i just got the cx-50 turbo meridian with terracotta seats and it's amazing. the steering and feeling are dynamic and the turbo makes it fun to drive. the only vehicles that would beat this in the similar price category are bmw x1, audi q3, and if you spend a little more on the porsche macan. the looks and luxury feeling cannot be compared to theforrester and rav 4. maybe the bronco can compare and it does look quite nice.

I would pick the Forester hands down. The Forester has continuous all wheel drive which gives the vehicle a planted feeling on the road unlike the other vehicles that offer on demand all wheel drive. Power is adequate for most driving conditions and outward visibility is outstanding. Subaru reliability is now better than Honda and Toyota.

I love my 2023 BS Badlands. Has more horsepower than an eight cylinder 1996 full sized Bronco. At 250 Hp and 275 pound feet of torque the BS Badlands is no slouch. I have been averaging 26.5 mpg as well. Not awesome, but not bad for an SUV. It is not meant to tow extremely heavy loads but it is very good at the purpose it was built for, which is commuting/and offroad fun. Offroad this crossover SUV is impressively capable. Better than they intended in my opinion. It's nice to look at, fun to drive, and has plenty of power to boot.

I've had use of a 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend for over 2 weeks. It didn't take long to see this vehicle is my 2009 Escape with the same / very close to the dash texture, center console silver paint, split glass/tailgate, the squareness of the windshield and back tailgate. And I had a 6 cylinder instead of this 3 cylinder on the '24. Electronically the 2024 Sport is way ahead of my old Escape and having an 8 speed trans is nice, but needed ... wouldn't want this sewing machine engine to rev at 5000 rpm for just daily driving. Over all its a nice vehicle, but nothing great.

The ride is not great. Usually a firmer ride provides better handling but the torsion beam never settled down. I was also on the 20 inch sport wheels which I think is more for looks and 18s would be more suitable. They also didn't not use a multilink so much as kept the torsion beam. The cx50 isn't based on the cx5. For context I'm coming from a BMW sedan and looking for a second vehicle.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY! When it comes to the the mi pilot assist. You have to have it in cruise for it to activate and keep you centered. Then everytime you switch lanes via turn signal it will beep at you when you enter the other lane and it locks on to the lines again. So left turn signal, switch lanes, locks on with green steering wheel lit... BEEP. Then pass the car and go back to the right lane, locks on.... BEEP. No where to turn that off and super annoying with no volume control either. Also, when the Mi Pilot active you can't turn off the alarm for when you drift to a line on either side. This is usually the persons doing over the assist but it will give you a BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP when that happens and you can't turn that off either. So if those types of alarms bother you then this is not the car for you. I like my previous car which was a Hyundai and I could have the steer lane assist on all the time, cruise or no cruise and shut the annoying sounds off. I regret buying this car because of this...

Any car with only a few miles and within a few years will get a good review. I am not a fan of direct injection or CVTs. Will it last 200k miles? How long will it take to pay it off before spending big bucks on big repairs? If you have 100k miles or more lets hear it.

Thing about CVT's is you have to have the fluid changed about every 30K miles, not 50-60K miles like a regular automatic trans. Folks don't realize this and let it go so they fail. They also last a lot longer if you drive easy. If you have a lead foot they'll burn out quick. My understanding is the newer Jatco CVT is not nearly as crappy as the earlier ones. Time will tell....

Weird viewpoints if i may say. I could not for the love of god find a car as big as this one for 40K. Not everything is about power, efficiency might not be as important for the US, it is for the rest of the world. I might actually go with this one and I'm really digging the design. Chevy's are barely if at all sold in Europe anymore.

Thank you so much for sharing your view! I respect any decision made with care. If you really like what new Kona is offering, great! But if you are looking for a bigger size SUV with a great fuel economy and price, I am not 100% sure where you live, but in Canada or US, I think there are plenty in the Compact SUV market. For example, updated Nissan Rogue has FWD: 33 mpg and AWD: 31 mpg. Passenger volume of 105.4 cu.ft. Cargo of 36.5 cu.ft. MSRP of 30-40k depending on the trim. Subaru Forester or even Hyundai Tucson as mentioned in the video are I think more cost-effective. HOWEVER, if you really like the features new Kona offer (like the big 12.3" curved screen) and willing to pay 30-40k, by all means it is THE CAR for you.

@@poiema0226 Hi there. I'm purely talking about the EV version which the nissan and tucson are not available in. You could say the Nissan Ariya, but that's about 8-10k more, as are most of the cars in that size category. As an ICE vehicle you're absolutely right but the EV version of the Kona in Europe is 40k

The same “old” engine is not exactly the same as it was 10 years ago. They’ve made improvements throughout the years. Now that 10 year old engine is one of the most reliable engines on the market. I just look at it differently… if you wanna fact check it. Just “google” it like everyone else does. Because “the internet is always correct” lol

What makes the Forester great is its combination of excelent outward visibility, naturally aspirated engine, economy, comfort, features, roominess, safety features and reliability. Go drive one, take it for an extended test drive, and appreciate its agility and aplomb. 2024 its the last year of the Forester as we know it as starting '25 it'll come totally redisigned with probably a turbo engine, digital infotainment and other features. So for those of us who love the Forester as it is, consider getting one.

However i just wish they hadn't lowered the ROOF so much and had given it as much room as the RAV4 or Honda CRV or Kia Sportage then it would be perfect

What makes of road vehicles beastly go anywhere machine is not the power it’s the AWD/4WD. When you are going off roads or in snow you are going at low speeds. Can this engine use power of course. But it make it faster, tow more, and decrease fuel economy.
