I Would Get The Polar Express HO Scale Set From Lionel And Make It Bigger To Recreate The Movie

Great work however not sure why you wouldnt buy an existing table - something like a trestle table that can be easily packed up. Unless of course you have an unusual size in mind.

_IMPORTANT!_ Make sure you drill the holes for the turnout and feeder wires before you glue the track down!

I would much rather make this frame using 2x4s.

Yeah, just grab your 6 foot metal ruler and this is a breeze. NOT! Don’t follow this video. The basic idea is good but it’s hard to implement the way they show. Use screws, not nails. Pre-drill and counter sink or the wood WILL split. If you use screws you can assemble laying out the frame on the floor. None of this “clamping vertically” business. Who has a clamp like that? Believe me, I followed these instructions and it didn’t go great. Doing the nailing of frame up in the air was difficult. My two cents.

Here is something else you could do. Replace one of the rerailers with a Bachmann E-Z Track crossing gate.

Why couldn't bachmann atlas make double slip switch and three way switch train tracks? That would've been the best things bachmann and atlas would've made.

This is what Burt Gummer does when he is not blowing up graboids. You did not see it in the movies, but I am sure Burt has a sub-basement with a huge HO scale railroad layout.

I had seen the full version of this video so many times, and I am just now getting in to the entirety of the Tremors Series, but it wasn't until Tremors 4, where he has to speak much more distinguished that I could recognize that soft-spoken voice from this instructional video.

I love this layout plan. I have a wealth of space in my rec room to do a layout. I want to do a "U" shape and have three different sections in the layout. I'm going to use this plan and base my train yard/round house off this plan. But I'm going to add another 4ft to the length for building consists and storage. Err anyway awesome video!

Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "how to make a train with cardboard" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Piyaliyah Uncommunicative Preference - (do a google search ) ? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to build a model train railroad easily without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 got great results with it.

Thanks for posting! It’s very clear and it will help me out a lot! Last time i had a layout i was 16, and now i’m turning 27, so i’m rusty to say the least. Having vids like these where i get a step by step guidance will save me so much money, time, and frustration, the ideas are all in my head, and thanks to content like this i get an idea on how to start with the practical bit. Can’t wait to get started myself
@brunoandreoli73394 жыл бұрын
Definitely a good way to start the hobby. However, I would choose hand-made structures instead (made of balsa wood, styrene or, even, thin cardboard. In that case, it would be necessary to purchase the doors and windows). Also, making the grass with wood sand does´t make a layout look worse (even though its a kind of a cliché) while it's a much cheaper alternative. Concerning to the trees, little pieces of real trees sticks (specially fork-shaped ones) with some green painted pillow synthetic foam on them are an alternative.
