Is more than 40psi better or worse? When I compression test the other cylinders, they are making way more compression than 40. Is there a downside to run 130psi? Thank you.

Thank u for this. My wife's truck is throwing the same code p0300. She just got a quote of 11k for a new engine. They did a compression test and said 2 cylinders don't have compression. But they didn't pull the head covers off cause it was just an estimate. They went straight to it needs a new engine. I'm going to pull the head covers off and look at the springs. Thanks again

@mediajunkie2195
@mediajunkie2195 8 ай бұрын
There are two sensors. One for the gauge and one for the EEC. With engine at operating temperature and full heat selected All hoses should be to hot to hold in hand for more than 5 seconds. That is including the heater hoses. They too if operating normally will be to hot to hold. If not then suspect blockage, bad heater valve, or air pocket.@@kennethrobinson1672

Dude, let me tell YOU! First, you must have a guardian angel that helped you knock that fan but off the pulley so easily. And to do this in flip flops and half way decent looking shorts. I'm so mad at you and want to throw a fake rubber turd at you! Because I'm jealous. Envious. Heartbroken. Bitter. All that!! I'm trying to remember exactly which day I started this fiasco over project, but it was over a week ago for sure. And I can promise you I've got at least six to seven days of evening time like after work trying to get that fan nut off! I tried the wrenches I had, I rented the tools, I rented more tools, I bought tools, I bought more tools, and then I bought more tools. I shoot you not I have probably got 12 to 14 hours in just trying to break that nut off. I've watched every KZfaq video there is I've tried every trick I've tried every ratchet strap 2x6 impact pneumatic hammer, sledgehammer, engineers hammer, whatever is out there that anybody's ever publicly suggested, I tried it and it didn't work! for some reason my truck also seems to be different than everybody else is on the planet, so that proved to have some degree of complication introduced... But when it was all said and done I did manage to get it off with a wrench that I bought on Amazon that fit the nut and has a slot on the end that connects to about a 16-in long bar and allows it to pivot at the wrench and where it connects, and attaches to the pneumatic hammer on the other end and allows you to blast the thing, so with both feet on top of the engine bent over pushing down with 240 lb and all of the pneumatics I had, I finally got it to spin! I did want to throw out a thank you to you because it was your video that was the most comprehensive even though yours made it look the easiest, and in my reality it was so far from easy I wanted to shoot something or bang my head into a steel plate. Top it off with the fact that the new clutch I bought and had delivered had two stripped out holes in it for the bolts, as well as when I finally got mine out I come to realize that one of my fan blades had a small piece missing from the corner of it, which I didn't feel comfortable putting back in, so I had to order new fan at that point. This has been the project from hell on the heels of my last project from hell which was the radiator in my wife Durango. But I hope you can find some solace in knowing that the auto repair gods blessed you and decided to throw all their hate to me! Thanks for making the video and sharing it. I'm going to have a beer now, cheers!

Hey guys, i had this same problem. (No temp gauge, no heat) I replaced the thermostat and both came back. When the thermostat fails on these trucks, it fails open-so the coolant never reaches operating temperature. Thus temp gauge appears to not read and no heat because coolant doesnt get warm enough to provide heat. Hope this helps somebody else out!
