I could not get this thing to work properly. It was like pulling teeth. I don't understand why it is so hard to use. Is it because it's such an inexpensive program? At least, that's how I feel. Did I waste my money? Because I paid for a 1 year sub- scription at a deep discount. How many of you have used this product? Do you think it's a good deal?

Oh, so this is for your temple ceremonies. And that's why I won't give any of my genealogical information to FamilySearch. Just in case that permission is given through the terms of service. LOL

However, those opposed to mormonism can be baptized after death if a relative gives permission. And that's simply wrong.

Was excited to try, review site listed prices including paid trial for a month (better than week). However, exactly - no up-front pricing, and then on the FAQ it says you can CALL them. Why? Why not just print it on the site? Don't like that secretive behavior. Guess I will not be doing any trial, even.

I have 2 great great grandmothers who were full blood Cherokee on my father and mothrrs side. I married a man who was tribal member and had a card with the Cherokee tribe and he worked at the BIA. I read that I could apply for membsrship since ww were married. Is that true. Rebecca Drywater

Another thing I do on find a grave is if one spouse is buried there, I'll search the entire cemetery for that person's spouse. I've found them a few times. I also like to search for unique names at find a grave. Yesterday I found a possible great uncle - I'm still trying to piece together my grandfather's family and this MAY be a brother - but anyway, I did a search in Georgia, most likely place of burial due to the last census record I found - and nine pages of John W. Thompson came up!

Baptism by Proxy sounds like witchcraft... especially considering that your doctrine is contrary to the biblical gospel that the apostle Paul held to. You must be born again to see the kingdom of God... not earn your way there. You aren't going to become a god one day

Oh my! I haven’t the slightest idea of The Churches beliefs but a tear just formed in my eye as you described what you do for your ancestors. I recently have been involved in an unsuspected romantic love affair with genealogy! Let my words have integrity here lol I started doing this for my mother, as she aged I wanted to show her that she is and was always a queen.

Which DNA test can prove I have Native American ancestors?
@TheGenealogyReporter
@TheGenealogyReporter Жыл бұрын
Ahh...a very good question and not an easy answer. If your Native American ancestor was very recent, it may show up on any of the atDNA tests. However, as I explained in the video, ethnicities are estimates based on the reference population of the given company and how much of that particular DNA you inherited from your parent(s). When dealing with proving Native American ancestors, it is best to do old fashion genealogy research.

What test can tell me who the parents are of a male who was raised with my mom but was not actually her brother??
@TheGenealogyReporter
@TheGenealogyReporter Жыл бұрын
That's a great question, Amanda! If the male in question is still living, I suggest he begin with an atDNA test from Ancestry. Ancestry has the largest matching DNA database of all the companies. Once the results are in, he might be lucky enough to find a close relative like a sibling, parent, or grandparent. If not, cousin matches along with traditional genealogy research may flesh out his biological parents. If you need more assistance or information, feel free to reach out to me via email at [email protected].

I understand that your doctoring and what you are doing but what if the dead of my past from hundreds of years ago don't want to have their spirit moved by you. Who's to say that you are not committing heresy unto them and their beliefs. I say this because regardless of what my family says I'm only responsible for myself. This being said I know a father who is a Southern Baptist preacher and his son is a devoted Muslim. Also I have a friend who is Jewish but a practicing Pentecostal.

I've recently been in contact with my 70 year old cousin, I know he has very old photos because my other cousin told me he did so she put me in contact with him. The problem though is that he seems more interested to talk to me rather than show me the old photos of my ancestors. I'm happy to talk to a cousin but he only talks about what he wants to talk about and ignores when I try to talk about the photos. How do you recommend I convince him to show me the old photos?
