I just love how you introduced Donald Trump as being just a a TV personality that few people expected to win? No Donald Trump for your information was a very successful real estate developer in the United States. He was a multi billionaire at a very young age. He also wrote the book the art of the deal because he is known for being able to make deals in order to make everyone feel like they got their fair share! Yes, he had a very successful television show because Americans as well as Europeans and foreigners around. The world are very impressed by this man’s ability to take very little money and turn it into billions so yes that’s why Donald Trump was able to beat Obama especially since Obama was in office for two terms and did absolutely nothing nothing, all Democrats are good for doing is making promises that they can’t keep and funneling money to other countries as well as in their own pockets leaving American citizens to sit here scratching their asses !!! Trump was out after a single term not because he was voted in. It was because the Democrats cheated on the election Donald Trump won that election and if you do check the facts he had 120 million votes. There is no way in hell Biden had 81 million votes more than Obama?? They cheated so when you want to teach history, please teach the facts and stop spreading warped leftist views ! Democrats cheated and we have the videos! To prove it!! But you are too fucking brainwashed to even want to look at the videos!!

A really great video. But I gotta say, not mentioning Guimarães its a big miss, I mean, it's the first Portuguese city.. could have at least slipped it when mentioning what is actually, I would say more then viriato, the biggest Portuguese (historical) figure 😅 Either way, that's still just a friendly note 👏

I lived in San Juan Del Sur for a few months doing Covid. The only other towns I took day trips too were Rivas, Granada, Masaya, and Managua. Nevertheless I really enjoyed my time there and had nothing but positive experiences. It seems to be popular to hate on the FSLN and Ortega especially but those who have never lived there. If I were to leave the US permanently and move to a Central American country I would definitely choose to live in Nicaragua. I’d lived for months in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and El Salvador and Panama within the last 5 years so maybe living in Guatemala or Honduras could change my mind but I really found my paradise in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua.

In all friendliness as a Tennessean, you missed something. Tennessee was the last state to ratify the 15th amendment in 1997 (long time, I know) the reason why they rejected it is because there was already a law planned in Tennessee’s 3rd constitution of 1870 that allowed black folks in the state to vote, so they rejected it and thought it was unnecessary. Also, the law really didn’t work much do to The Ku Klux Klan and intimidation.

REPUBLIC. A commonwealth; that form of government in which the administration of affairs is open to all citizens. In another sense, it signifies the state, independently of its form of government.

Does this only apply to the presidential election, due to the electoral college? What about state-level and other more local elections, are smaller parties winning seats/representatives in these?
14 күн бұрын
that's a great question. The answer is that it applies at all levels including state level, but it's weaker because it's a single state so the people that need to be convincing is fewer. So the smaller the population, the more likely this rules breaks.

I think if someone look at a series of KZfaq videos and what’s the difference between a democracy and a republic they’re gonna see that you’re talking pure nonsense. I think if people repeat it long enough that we are democracy they’ll start believing it, but we are a Republic. We do not have direct phone because if we did that means the most populated states with control everything. The small states would have no voice. They’ll be completely taken over by piss like New York in California. I’m not gonna sit there and put on here but people really need to look it up and see what the differences and see how foolish this video is.

what specifically are you talking about?
@KristenCarneyComedy
@KristenCarneyComedy 19 күн бұрын
Before I get to that, it’s my duty as someone with integrity to point out that your introduction gave you away. Your bias clearly influenced your conclusion. When you state that one “side” is doing something because they’re trying to express “proof of their superior political knowledge” whether that is an accurate assumption or not, while NOT ALSO keeping things fair and balanced by thereupon acknowledging, also from the start, that the other “side”, who claim we are simply a democracy, are 100% INCORRECT, let alone choosing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they have no ulterior motive for claiming the US is a democracy. Leaving out that very crucial context was meant to intentionally skew people’s understanding and is a blatant manipulation of your viewers by exploiting their emotions. Emotions which lead them to view one side as “bad”/doing things in bad faith and the other as “good”/morally superior. It’s gross, it’s negligent and shameful. Choosing to communicate in this deceptive way loses you credibility and respect. Some people aren’t discerning enough to notice, but a lot of us are. We see you. We know what you’re doing. But to address your question… we are unequivocally a Republic WITH many democratic ‘elements’, not a “Democratic Republic”. Article IV of the Constitution declares that each state act as a republic. But no where is it stated in the Constitution that we’re a “democracy” or, as you claim, a “Democratic Republic.” We’re a Constitutional Republic with many Democratic influences. But to say our government bears the title “Democratic Republic” is demonstrably false. And, to say that people who call it a Republic are wrong is also absurdly false and purposely misleading. But, great news! I think you’d be great at CNN
19 күн бұрын
So the claim here is that because the constitution uses the word republican then the US cannot be a democracy?
@KristenCarneyComedy
@KristenCarneyComedy 19 күн бұрын
To posit that it’s some sort of bullying tactic of the right by saying “Republic” is unethical and wrong. You’re sewing more division. We are a Republic with many Democratic influences and values. So, say it as such. We, technically speaking, are not a Democracy. Period.
19 күн бұрын
@@KristenCarneyComedy ok, so would you mind answering the question? Is the claim here that "technically speaking" we are not a democracy because the constitution used the word republican?

*Its amazing how you mentioned nothing about Guatemala! Due to the fact that most of Belize was clearly under Guatemalan rule based on the map you presented at **3:15**, its also amazing how britain managed to nerf Guatemala of those lands and erase Guatemala's history in that area...... it makes me think that maybe we are the bad guys...... we should help Guatemala take that land back.*
19 күн бұрын
I did mention the most important thing about Guatemala. "In the early 1600s, the Maya finally staged a counteroffensive that successfully drove out the few Spanish settlers and missionaries that had decided to stay. Weakened and fearful, the Maya did not return to the now desolate old cities, choosing instead to stay huddled in the remote interior. Far from other main outposts of their empire, Spanish claims on Belize would be tenuous at best and would soon be challenged not just by indigenous people, but also by other Europeans." Guatemalan claims existed and exist to this day! but Guatemala city had basically little to no authority over the territory.
