In any of his videos, did Mick tell about his car blowing up or why? Just curious, did he tell about getting this car from his caring Dad? Would have been a fun trip for both you and Brook too. I have been watching his videos and unless I missed it, can’t remember him mentioning it.

Not a terrible video and has some decent information, but lots of wasted time and tool and wilderness shots.

Enjoyed this. Unfortunately, I'm one for the fearful ones. I'm very aware when we're out in the forest. But my fear doesn't stop us from enjoying the woods.

This my dream. My dad taught me to hunt, forage, and fish. Uncle taught me how to trap. Military taught me about more survival and knotsand making weapons.. Now all I need to do is find my piece of heaven.

I have always liked your no nonsense approach to things, life etc. This is a good review and hopefully encourages others. Why not buy a welder watch KZfaq and go for it! I did the same and it works. Another radical video!

How many years do you think that that little Alpine Stove will last? Do you recommend buying one for a similar size cabin?

How do you vet your lumber for stability? What do you look for in your materials? How would you add utilities such as electricity or plumbing to this build?

Why do you use nails rather than screws? I mean I would figure that the screws would anchor better, but does it matter?

I notice that both of the blades in this video have circular arbor holes. Would the sharpener work on blades whose diamond knockouts have been removed?

Can someone explain something to me?.... when they start putting in the insulation in the floor... how did it stay in place and not drop to the ground? Also is it just open to the elements underneath? Wouldnt animals get in the insulation? Or it get wet?

The video is frozen before it even starts, which is probably no great loss because the usual claim to "off grid" is almost invariably coupled with scenes of power tools to construct the various author's vain constructions of "off grid", power tools which receive their recharge power through grid sources. Naturally, the replenishment of battery power for those tools is absent from the videos to keep the "off grid" myth alive.
