If I understand correctly, the Portals for the back are slightly different to the front in order to comodate the wide difference ?
@ARB4x4Accessories3 күн бұрын
The Portals correct the rear axle as it is narrower than the front from factory.

Never mind the sales talk - it would also be handy to know if this amount of body lift is acceptable in all the states around Australia and what the implications are in terms of cost and additional engineering and testing as well.
@adventurehungry8 күн бұрын
I believe it was mentioned in some old videos thats 6” lift total from portals and tyres. And 0 lift from suspension so you dont lose droop
@maverick22423 күн бұрын
The way second stage manufacturing works is that the vehicle is no longer a Toyota Vehicle, it becomes the vehicle from who ever does the second stage engineering pre registration, which is legal in all states and govt approved in Aus! Eg, HSV Holdens were registered as Holden Commodores, they were registered under second stage manufacturing as HSV Holdens, from HSV (eg the HSV Factory in Aus).

If the portal housing is casting i would rather have iron cast than aluminium cast, but if its a billet 7075 like 74weld i think aluminium would be strong enough

Can you update your current portal to these new designs, or are they only for the new ones.
@SirLuisBarrera9 күн бұрын
no, Leigh mentioned it is a whole new design at the start of the video
@tichakundaj9 күн бұрын
@SirLuisBarrera Yeah, like most companies, they bring new and improve products to better their products, for example, superior engineering and many 4wd accessory companies.

@SirLuisBarrera as from what I understand the new facelift cruiser have the same drive line as the old shape. Just the difference is its new and one has the 2.8l cruiser.
@SirLuisBarrera9 күн бұрын
@@tichakundaj It's ssm pre rego, to do everything again would be post rego. It is not a matter of swapping. As you point Cars are the same. It could be swapped but you will have to pay full price since all housings seem different. Maybe NSW would allow.

There was a time when ARB was the GOAT in anything off road. I loved it and loved showing off the brand.. Always innovating and head of the game. That has slowly changed since 2010's... And now feels like ARB is playing catch up with the brands that they used to write off. ARB is like the Apple of off road world now. The has been's. Tell me honestly, what took you guys this long to launch this product? .. Knowing ARB, It would be stupid money. Common guys, Get your innovate team a pay raise so they can actually be ahead than keeping up with the rest FFS.

It’s a great Lid: I’ve had mine for now for 6 months & really happy with it. Having a really good think about what you want to use your Ute for is a MUST when considering what type of lid to put on your Ute! Offers great flexibility, & i was surprised to be able to pick up a new washer fit it in the back with the lid open at nearly full still have & tail gate closed. No road noise. no water ingress so far. Dust still an issue, but I am confident that is due to ranger tub design more than anything else. Cheers
