Very nice. Love the boldness, energy, colours, the dark against light to give it that lift and that spectacular watercolour effect.

Not sure it can be said this resembles anything Turner ever produced. Maybe next time.

Your lessons and watercolors are very inspiring. I am trying to paint a large swath of sea and waves and in the left a city skyline and few people on the beach. My photo looks all light blue grayish- not much color. Sky gray muddy. And do I am having trouble getting right colors, leaving out white for crashing lines of waves. A lesson would be awesome. If possible!

very useful ! I was wondering how to do loose brush work wet on wet , you have given a demo of seemingly dry on dry only. Maybe more loose style demos will help like dry on wet, wet or wet. I would also like to share that brushes like filbert , angled , cats tongue , dagger and the sword type gives beautiful effects.

Papers: I have discovered that some watercolour papers perform better en plein air than in the studio. I also tend to use blocks en plein air. Thank you for sharing your wit and wisdom.

Yes i did a "50 brush strokes" painting exercise once and it was such a good result. The subject matter was very simple still life, but what amazed me was how solid and three dimensional the objects appeared even with such minimal attention!
