Thank you! Never understood why it sometimes stopped and restarted for no apparent reason. Thought it was a power problem.

I'll NEVER buy this style of slide out AGAIN! motors do not last, high price cheap junk! The manufacturer should be ashamed

This is a great video as I have exactly this problem. After several hours of shore power, no cooling. CHanged to propane with cooling in a few hours. Other vids were not this detailed, or stopped short of explaining the heating element, checking its resistance for 80 ohms +/- 10%, and the board that should be 120 V at the prongs where the heating element plugs on. I appear to have to issues: 1) my board does not supply 120 V to the pins that feed the heating element wires and 2) my heating element wires have 8 ohms of resistance rather than 72-88 as indicated in the manual. Looks like I might be in for a new board and heating element. Do you have any videos for replacing each?

How reliable are the aftermarket slide out motors? Someone commented on another video to try not to use the motors made in China. The Lippert motors are not US made either. Do you have a preference?

im getting pass thru residual voltage of 5 volts thru an open 112 volt manual reset circuit breaker. im thinking it might be a grounding issue as I have replaced the circuit breaker a few time and the same problem.

so i did do this as i commented 3 years ago, why the video showed up in my feed again i dont know! i used mostly luan plywood and caulking and it made a huge improvement. the sides of fridge were closed off properly but there was a 10 inch void above. the 10 inch void was probably there to accomadate an optional taller fridge. i then opened up that void at the front and installed a floor and walls to form a cabinet above the fridge. fridge performance is much much better!

Great Vid, a little rushed at times, but all in all was detailed and to the point. I may need to do this on my Dometic refer. Freezer cooling pretty well but the refer won’t get below 40*. Have good ventilation, DC fan units installed on lower access door. Roof vent seems to be clear of debris, but the fridge is just not performing. Could be because it’s been 100*-115* this summer … Just say’n! Thanks again! Solid work! 😎 BTW … 👍🏼 and Sub Earned!

???I have a brand new camper. They didnt put the top on my battery, the 1st week it was parked at my house, it rained. The battery compartement filled with water. I took the camper for a ride. When i came back home, i plugged into house. 3 days later all DC power was gone. Could the battery being in water have killed the converter? BTW I am a 50 year old woman and I feel like an expert after watching your video it was very very instructive thank you

I have a pump that won’t kick on until pressure is at like 0 psi. Turn on kitchen sink and pump doesn’t turn on until water is at almost just a drip. Then when pump does kick on it sputters lots of air too. Think I got a bad pump or what?

My boss asked me to look at his water heater on his Grand Design camper. I have never worked on a water heater in a camper , and took one look and started looking on line and Google sent me to you..... You just made me look good by saving my boss a trip to the RV shop. Thanks so much! I gave subscribed to you and saved you in my book marks.

Thank you for this! The step by step was PERFECT. The only setback came when I thought I remembered what you said but forgot one step and had to re-do a wire connector. So, I brought my phone onto the roof of my Airstream and re-watched each step. I did a couple of things differently on purpose -- but mostly just the placement of zip-ties. I would have never thought to zip-tie the EasyStart to the frame, in addition to the 3M tape. Great idea. Just like you said, I couldn't zip tie both ends due to the foam block. I would have wondered what-the-heck to do with the now-loose capacitor. I zip-tied like you did, but also bent and re-fasted the metal tape that held the combo previously. I didn't use a zip tie on the EasyStart power cord. I found I could snake it under the compressor legs and that held it very nicely. I was moving this EasyStart from an older Mach8 that failed, so all my connectors were already in place. I was able to work them through the existing opening, but it wasn't easy.

My compressor points are totalling up to be 3.5 vs 4.5. I'm guessing that's enough difference to be a bad compressor?

Biggest thing I learned was patience when I was doing it. Some people are super mad by the time we arrive and the camper manufacturer, then the parts manufacturer have had them thru the wringer and some tend to take it out on me . I used to simply tell them I didn't break it I'm here to help but if we got off on the wrong foot for an action of mine I'll make it right but if it wasn't my action that's angered you and it continues I can leave , majority of folks would chill out at that point but the ones that didn't I just packed up and left , no charge I'd just call whoever I needed to and report customers behavior then they received zero help from that point. Hate being that way but it became more frequent as years went by so I quit doing rv repair. My best advice is if you run into these kind of customers figure out a better way than I did for dealing with them and you'll be good , also word of mouth can make or break a business so rely on the long buck to make you successful not the short buck ( by this I mean if you go to troubleshoot something say it's water pump it's an hour on spader and like .70 to replace it, if it takes you an hour to find it, 2 hrs to troubleshoot because your new and another 1 hr to replace it charging 4 hrs will not get a referral be fair and explain your charging say 2 and the other 2 are the learning curve. Charging customers for you to learn is bad business EVERY time ! )

The Biggest Problem is That The Factory Does Not Always Install Rollers Underneath . And When They Do They Don't Carry Any Weight Because the Slide is Not Installed Plumb with The Coach . When Properly Squared and Leveled With The Coach and Riding on Several Rollers .They Will Last The Lifetime of the Coach .

Check your propane regulator if you’re having water heater no gas lighting issues. I purchased several parts short of replacing circuit board. Checked by trying to turn on stove and it would not light. Tried another regulator and it lit right away
