I will say that waiting Weekly for a new episode is refreshing over this overconsumption of media. I do miss the days of waiting a week for the next episode of a new cartoon and actually getting excited for it. Now its just all shoved in your face at once and no one has the time to process what they saw in 1 episode before we are on to the next. It's why cartoons like Fiona and Cake did so well. They dropped 2 episodes weekly and every 2 episodes after everyone watched and had time to watch over the week it got people excited for the next episode and had people make their own theories and talk about the episode they saw. That's what's missing with modern TV and Streaming. To add the whole thing of doom scrolling trying to find something to watch is also starting to weigh on people. the over abundance of content also is another problem where you just have too much stuff to watch. I personally like to come home from work and just plop down and just turn on the TV and just have whatever's on Channels play just play. I miss Live TV Content where I come home and just turn on Nick or Cartoon Network and just have whatevers playing play out and just turn off my brain. I rather Channel Surf than Doom Scroll. It's why I love PlutoTV so much and I watch TV over Antenna a lot too. Lastly It's already happening but a lot of these streaming platforms are gonna merge together and we will just have to pay a few services for all the content we want instead of 2 dozen. Plus expect a lot more Live TV options to pop up with these streamings services like what's happening with Disney+ Hulu merging and it now having Cartoon Network content on there as channels you can turn to watch Live. Or how Netflix is planning to show like NFL and Boxing matches. I know people hated cable and theres people like me who hate Streaming but there was a balance back in the day with Cable in the latter years like in the 2000s early 2010s and that's Cable with On Demand. Strike a balance where for those who want to watch live they have that option and for those who want to search for something specific that day they can. Apologies for the Yapping but I am passionate about this stuff. I was heavy into TV Broadcasting since I was a kid in the 90s and 2000s

Very well made video. This just randomly showed up on my algorithm but I relate to that sentiment so well. Back when I cut the cord in 2017, streaming services were great because they were convenient, cost less than a cable package (even one on a good deal) and you could watch shows and movies not seen on TV whenever. Ever since the pandemic era I've seen these same services use shady tactics to penny pinch and stiff services that customers like me once enjoyed. Everything is just going up in cost just as inflation is becoming the monster that it is in this decade, I still like having some of the subs I watch often but there are some I will drop periodically until they attempt to gain my subscription back by giving me a free month trial or a multi month discount and I'll take full advantage of that. All that aside, yes...these services are now becoming like cable on demand basically.
