Jonghyuns death felt like a personal loss though I never met him ! As if my best friend passed away his impact was that strong just through screen. I was devastated and still not over it its been nearly 7 years and I can't seem to get over it . Jonghyun was a talented man and will always be ! You did well Jonghyun ! I only recently started following SHINee but I am really sad that I never knew them when Jonghyun was with us. I feel bad for not knowing him while he was here but I hope I can still be there for him at SHINee now and support my 5 boys in everything they do.

What is about this group and Jonghyun that I keep getting back to these sad moments and shed pure tears that are both happiness and sadness mixed. They fill my heart because of their hard work, excellence, impeccable character, body of work and being great citizens, loving and caring for each other while pushing each other to the human limit of artistry and performance. I recall seeing the comments and articles accusing them of “marketing off his death”. 🥲 Like Jonghyun had just been laid to rest and people (even so called ‘fans’) were accusing them of said sh!t. I don’t consider myself a violent person but reading all of those headlines/comments had me shaking from how furious I was. If it were possible to sucker punch someone through the internet my fists woulda been flying all day. Like how DARE you make such hurtful and false accusations against people that are processing their grief still! Jonghyun loved his fellow members and I genuinely don’t see him wanting SHINee to disband because he’s no longer around. I also don’t see him as the type to be angry over someone discussing their raw grief, coping methods, etcetc. I’m not the biggest fan of the show they’re on in the clip, but I appreciate them allowing the boys to be brutally honest and vulnerable. I can tell it was therapeutic to them and the Shawols that tuned in.

I was at Disney World when the news popped up on my phone. My whole world stopped and suddenly it was no longer the happiest place on earth. If you look at photos the next few days I have "You did well Jonghyun" written on my hand in Hangul and English. I stayed on my phone comforting fellow Shawols and exchanging stories. To this day I always look at my Poet | Artist poster and I smile because Jongie is always with me and always with Shinee World 💙

Oh its so hard to live with a uncoverable hole in your heart

I share a birthday with him and every time it rolls around, he always comes to mind. He was my bias. I remember when Shinee debuted and Replay was my favorite song for the longest time. Rest in peace, Jonghyun. You're safe now. <3
