Something surreal about this song. Like a soundtrack for a movie by Hitchcock with dream sequences by Dali & Cocteau.

I think her hair looks great, I heard she thought it was too much. She can convey intimacy unlike any female singer.

Tina Arena does a great tribute to this recording too. Her version is clearly inspired by Dusty's performance here.

I think this is not the original version from 2002. But many do think so because this is the official video. Please check the original long mix version. I’ve heard to that since 2002, while the video version also features vocal parts from the Bini&Martini remix, based on the original. Which has many remixes and long/short, instrumental/a cappella versions.

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel Like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival balloon Like a carousel that's turning, running rings around the moon Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind [Verse 2] Like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own Down a hollow to a cavern where the sun has never shone Like a door that keeps revolving in a half forgotten dream Or the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind [Bridge] Keys that jingle in your pocket, words that jangle in your head Why did summer go so quickly? Was it something that you said? Lovers walk along a shore and leave their footprints in the sand Is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand? Pictures hanging in a hallway or the fragment of a song Half remembered names and faces but to whom do they belong? When you knew that it was over you were suddenly aware That the autumn leaves were turning to the colour of her hair [Outro] A circle in a spiral, a wheel within a wheel Never ending nor beginning on an ever-spinning reel As the images unwind Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind

Клип круче заявлен, чем песня получилась. Клип - психоделика, а песня и голос - два прихлопа, три притопа. Только национальные мотивы и спасают.

Add a comment. What the fuck can you say after watching that. Probably the most underated guitarist of all time. Clapton would have run in fear watching that!!

Alvin seems a bit annoyed. We know he didn’t like playing the pop songs that he had to write to appease the record company. For example, they never performed i’d Love to Change the World live. Portable People was another one of those fun pop songs not what Alvin liked to perform live.

@billpennock8585 0 seconds ago The song was a representation of Thomas's twisting and turning over his career as a high end thief and his relation with his near equal Vicki Anderson. An intricate game of chess which for him meant either loss of freedom and lifestyle or keeping both and finding a soul mate. For her, at the end, could be all sorts of interpretations of the final Faye Dunaway scenes, some of the most amazing displays of facial expressions be ng able to express verbal passions with the ability of people seeing different stories based on their own interpretations. I never thought of this as one of my " best movies of all time" yet I come back to watch it over and over. The remake is a nice but superficial representation of the original.
