How do I improve my PT school application WITHOUT retaking classes

Do you think certifications such as FMS or CSCS help when applying to DPT? I've seen a lot of mixed reviews varying from "absolutely" to "don't waste your time." I understand certifications alone can't offset a generally lower GPA, but does it help any? Is it worth the money and extra time?

Got a C in A&P 1 and a C+ in A&P 2. Still have a 3.5 cumulative gpa and hoping to raise it to a 3.6 for my last 3 semesters.

I had finished with a 1.8 gpa my first semester as after my first semester ever in 2020, I recover it to a 3.0 at the end of my junior year, I have one more year remaining and am hoping to get all A’s to get it to a 3.3, my prereq gpa is 3.2 and I’m trying my best to get my hours, volunteering (I’ve started these) and finding a leadership position, based on my gpa do you think i have a chance?

Not at all! If anything, you have more to write about because you’ve had more experience, especially if you’ve already been in healthcare 😊

Couldn’t have said it better than Daisy! I think if you’re going to love waking up to a profession and be excited every day, it’s worth it. Financially it’s right at the boarder line but still not the oldest I’ve seen someone start PT

Alina, as long as you have oxygen in your lungs it ain’t too late for anything. Your 33 not 73. That’ll be a different discussion. Get it done!

This guy never answers questions on instagram. I have said I would like to purchase his expertise and no response. Multiple messages I sent. It doesn’t look good you can’t handle your professional life with other business ventures. Honesty.
