Sting ego ruined great band. Stinge never achieved solo career like POLICE does. First 2/3 solo album was ok, all others are rubbish

My first concert was The Police in Montreal in 1983 and the last concert I’ve seen, is The Police in Ottawa in 2007 ( a few months after my father passed away ). I’ve loved this group from the moment I first heard them.

I only see The Police once time, in the "Better than Therapy" tour, in Lisbon, 2007. But I listened The Police much earlier, guess since 1985. For me the best solo album is "... Nothing like the Sun", from 1987. Well, but The Police, and after Sting on solo carrear are essential on myself discovering of music world. I love both !!!

What is the pervasive god awful out of tune sound that comes and goes through out this whole show?? Is it the “ghost in the machine”? Seems like they’ve got a guy hidden offstage somewhere hitting notes on an out if tune synth.

given that I love the Police and each o f its three members, as a Sting drummer I think Colaiuta served Gordon better: more precise in keeping tempo, many quality drumsfills but none of them overwhelming the melody of the song. Stewart lead the path in terms of energy and drums innovation, but he was/is more of a undisciplined horse tough to ride (if this makes any sense...). I love Stewart, but in recent times he himself admits that Sting songs were gems he didn't understand by that time (he still plays them live with an orchestra). one point is scored by Stewart: when they recorded "don't stand..." in 1986 he deserved to use a snare sampled sound of his taste, not of Sting's taste ...

Why do people make these stupid comments ? Beyond underrated ? Who's saying he's underrated ? He was in one of the biggest acts on the planet and his drumming is revered by millions of people. He has influenced countless drummers. I hate this overused, ridiculous word, underrated.

In my opinion the police aren't a good live band. They are much better in the studio. To me, Sting, while he's singing makes the impression on me, that he's on the run. I am sure where to, or from what he's escaping from.....If I compare them with Liam or Noel Gallagher, they do perform on stage much better, even sometimes better than their recorded Studio versions.
