Bridget are you covering for lizzie? Yes I am and I've already been paid well. When this is over lizzie is going mansion shopping and I'm going to buy a farm. And they did just that.

It was very hard! I'm still laughing. The whole trial is like this but Lizzie Inquest is one for the history books. There are so many sly little digs throughout the whole trial even the lawyers frequently insulted each other. You cannot put it down once you start reading about it.

There is so much circumstantial evidence that she did at least one of the murders, her father. I believe she did both. If she did not do both, then it would have been uncle John who did Abby. Reasons: She asked to buy a strong poison for a ridiculous reason the day immediately before the killings and then lied about it. The dress had paint stains on it from back in April, but yet she takes it and destroys it merely ONE DAY after the murder, four months later. Why wait 4 months? They never found the note indicating that Abby needed to go out to visit a sick person. More than that, the authorities advertised a reward to the person who would come forward to say that they were the person who Abby visited that morning, and no one in town came forward to collect that reward. Uncle John either killed Abby or else knew about it in advance (I will not go into the details supporting this). Bridget lied at trial, at a minimum regarding there being no discord in the house between lizzie and abby. There are interviews with neighbors indicating that lizzie freely made statements in public about her feelings for abby, "She (abby) was one of the kind that never dies." So what else did Bridget lie about? Lastly, the number of blows with the hatchet were so excessive and to the face. It was what they call "overkill." This indicates something very personal about the relationship between the killer and the victim. Bridget did not have such a relationship with the Bordens. I think that lizzie likely wore Mr. Borden's coat that lay underneath his head. There were statements from bridget that he always hung up his coat on the hook when he came home. I love it when people say there is no evidence against lizzie. Ha. There's plenty of circumstantial evidence, which legally carries the same weight as direct evidence.

I was laughing so hard I could barely keep it together during editing despite its one little flaw...he was supposed to say "DELIVERED" and not "DEDICATED" but the actor has resfused to re-record that one word. It almost forces me into cloning his voice with A.I. to replace the word bc the meaning of this word is critical to the understanding of the piece . I am so glad you enjoyed it. You have made my day! :)

Abby worried they had been poisoned. I've always wondered if the context was she thought they had food poisoning from bad food or that someone poisoned them. It kinda sounds like she meant poisoned from bad food.

Yes, I know what you mean. Poor Abby, I feel so bad for her bc she must have realized that these cramps were much worse that ones she felt from eating spoiled mutton and they lasted much longer. Her over-reaction at Dr. Bowen's early next morning showed she was VERY CONCERNED something was wrong and he poo pooed her and then she's dead 24 hours later and he doesn't SEE IT??? But I bet his wife did...

There’s zero evidence against Lizzie or tying her to the crimes. Presumably the grand jury was going to not indict, then upon hearing Alice Russell’s testimony about the dress burning, they decided to indict. Literally no evidence, and the prosecution at the trial could not show or prove she had anything to do with it. Wild stuff!

When bridget heard lizzie laugh at the top of the stairs she wasn't laughing at bridget struggling with the front door lock lizzie took a last look at the bedroom to her right where her stepmother lay dead and it were like having the last laugh. That's the end of you mrs. Borden!.

I think had lizzie been given a free ten million dollars gift by someone she still would have had a selfish attitude towards her stepmother. This is my father and his money not yours but mine mine mine me me me. She murdered her parents to solve these problems and live on the hill in the moolah. Why would a burglar or unknown intruder give the stepmother more whacks than the father. Stepmother must not be allowed to be in charge of my father's estate after his death. So she killed them.

Hello Tammy, out of the 20 minute audio almost 19 minutes is Lizzie's inquest testimony except for the 30 second intro and a short outro. I'm not sure what part you are talking about unless you are talking about the fact that I replayed the last 2 minutes of the last episode to start the new one to orient the listener. Could that be what you are referring to? There was such a long time in between the release of the episodes as podcasts, I figured that some people would appreciate that but it's different now that you can get them all at once. Hope that helps answer ur question. In the future, I have been planning on bundling them all into one big audiobook that I can sell on Amazon as a CD and digital download and edit out some repetitive audio.

@@TammyM36 Knowlton often repeated his line of questioning throughout the 14 inquests to see if their answers varied. He did this with each person and I caught on to another little trick of his that he always said about 90% into his interview. But he sure gave Lizzie a good grilling on her "fishing story." Thank you for ur kind words.
