How are we feeling about a unit of 8 hogs a month on?

Few good points made in this video. Ive used the detachment once so far. And ill be having two games at 2k points this weekend. Biggest strength is definitely the unkillable terminator block. Weakness is that the strategems are pretty much all reactive (even the reroll hits and wounds is actually reactive) I think mandatory for a siege host list is a bastion plate lord leading terminators and a terminator sorcerer leading terminators with warp tracer. Build the army out from there really. Unfortunately for me i dont have the second terminator unit so ill be running just the 10 with the bastion lord. For now lol

The new Combat Patrol is basically just the old Boarding Patrol just more expensive... The new Army box is basically the Purgatos Mission minus the Immolator...

overall i like the Cannon more the the Blaster, BUT dont forget that Skryre detachment on 1 d6 roll a 3+ gives +1 to wound and on an 5+ it gives +1 to wound +1 rend :D so both are fairly funny i assume

Again, this is more an observation than a criticism (well, criticism of GW maybe lol) this is the problem with using the same term for two different kinds of box set, at least when AoS did similar they picked a new name entirely lol

I'm playing with this detachment on Monday. I'm taking 25 plague marines allied units which become heretic astartes. This means all their lovely weapons getting sustained from dark pacts plus lethal on their weapons on 6s and with assault they actually get to move at a decent speed. Plus an extra AP if the enemy is on an objective and have the bonus toughness 5.

They did Tzeentch dirty, really dirty. We will have to see everything to get a clear picture but I know a lot of people are shelving their armies based on this.

On one hand Jump Canoness is awesome. Glad we are getting SOMETHING new. On the other? Seraphim have been underperforming so badly for their cost that I am already considering just removing them. So I really don't want a box that's just more jump infantry. I guess it depends on what the Canoness stats look like. (Hand flamers kill like... 2 Orks on drop in every time I've used them. And that's with good Atk rolls. So they just don't have the damage I need.)

To be clear, not using this as a "Your argument is invalid" point, but I'm wondering if part of the issue is that Combat Patrol is now a reference to the specific game mode (where there aren't vehicles...at least I don't think so?) whereas the previous editions it was one the 3 million different names for the "not quite a full army box" sets

Been using executioners x2 , redemptors x3, dev squads 2 tech marines 1 hellblasters squad and a few other bits. Executioners are good candidates for mercy is weakness

The most interesting would be Alpha. Pact is a failure for 1. enhancements are weak and you need to roll another leadership. I would get it, if they all had an initial, and a stronger section for moral success. Also, no Dark Apostle item or even a strat and No strat for daemonkin is bad.

Universal orders will make a big difference.

Certainly one of the best detachments. The passiv is fantastic and the stratagems are good too. The enhancements are rather meh. That said - Pactbound Zealots is on the same level as i see it, because its very versatile and has some of the best stratagems. It got nerfed a bit, but Overall a very good detachment. Behind those two are Fellhammer, VotlW and Soulforge on the same level. Just my two cents.

My partner plays Red Corsairs and ohhhh boy he's gonna be happy to see them get some love. It looks super fun to play though

Good review and I agree they look powerful! Fast strike force that lays down plenty of crippling curses to overwhelm any foe for the perfect terror army. 👻 I understand people mixed on Olynder but I think she’ll be a staple in the long run. Her new rules to me really matches her lore as a evil queen that’s the most active Mortarch capturing tons of souls and using subterfuge and force to take cities by using human agents to spread fear so the ghost legions can feed on it and swarm the defenses with ease. So fits well she’s a stately tank the infantry swarms can rally around to regain momentum and capture territories to push Nagash’s unending claims.

Being able to run or retreat and charge seems way too powerful

Nerfs here and there? Everything got nerfed to hell! Wtf were they thinking? Unless palooza is halved in points you’ll never see them again. They lost half their ability but also lost a wizard. Skragrott better be half the points as well at that sort of bashing. Poor squig armies…you just lost your battle line. Control 1 is harsh. You didn’t mention this massive nerf. All I can imagine right now is that there are quite a few new releases coming soon because who wants the current grots? Not me.

I would pick the foul blightspawn or the putrifier because that fights first ability really makes plague marines that much scarier. Plus his spewer bing anti infantry +2 at AP2 D2 is also really mean. I had a demon prince from thousand sons charge into them and popped the sustained hits Strat and they brought him down to two wounds. I lost a 3 or 4 marines out of my 7 man squad but then clapped the demon prince and kept pushing up to finish off some rubric marines so pretty happy with that outcome there

Assaualt for asmodai all the other da characters other than azrael give melee buffs we could do with a shooter buff but they got rid of talon master

What do you make of the Stormcast Eternals in Age of Sigmar 4.0? Also a quick update - Yndrasta and her 'The Prime Huntress' Rule looks to be MELEE ONLY as it's Red which indicates a COMBAT Ability, so I think her Spear will only be 6 Damage against Monsters, not also 8 Damage if you throw it! I may be wrong, but that's my understanding of the colour-codex boxes!

I think the combat is fine for savage orkz if that's your jive. But there's no variety for me. Still i think a lot of ork armies want a couple of tje beast orkz if you don't have reliable vehicle or monster killers in your army.

He's my favorite character but I'm so afraid to buy him and in a few years in the lore he dies like Yarrick, so I have a figurine that will be of no use to me, like Yarrick. :(

As unfortunately the Night Lords one is a bit shit I think I'll be running this one most of the time. Warp Talons and Raptors should really be fun to use here.
