Tio me the most beautiful aspect of Jesica is that she changed the course of human history out of love for her family

I have read the books and would recommend them to all you Lady Jessica fans. Frank Herbert based her on his wife. Her dark bronze hair, oval face and green eyes. She is my favourite as well. A fantastic character.

What a masterpiece! Ozon just knows how to talk through characters, music and emotion. The trailer teases a slight emphasis of the typical sad gay story, which I don't think this is. It's a perferctly curated story of love, freedom, relationships and human-ness. The quality of the movie took me by surprise - it's funny, emotional, provoking and yet beautifully presented in realistic french manner (which works so well). There will be never-seen-before moments in any movie which is what I applaude the director of the move for. Other movies (I'm looking at you 'Saltburn') have been heavily influenced by 'Summer of 85' (e.g. the character of Felix, grave-yward scene, utopian family of Felix, including mum's positiveness), another proof that this artistry leaves a profound effect on your as a viewer.

At least from the thumbnail of this video we know she has the ability to stand there with no expression on her face (which isn't acting by the way). She can also look constipated while crying. Wait - that's not really a skill either, is it? Well, that's 99% of what she does in this film.

The Jessica character had no personality or agency. The other characters were stereotypes too but at least they had a 2D personality and some agency. The duke had a fierce temper but was loving towards his son. Paul was an angsty teenage boy. Jessica? No personality whatsoever. Being weak is not a personality.

To me it will always be something that we will never know the truth unless one of them does like Carrie did in her book and tells the truth, but to me it's clear that they had a real relationship that started during TFA, who follows their social media Daisy since TFA knows what I'm saying, the videos of her singing music showing that she was in love and her interviews always saying that Kylo was great, kind, apart from that interview between the two in V magazine where one is flirting with the other, you know what I'm saying , especially during the recording of TLJ which seems like it was the peak of their relationship based on news from people who say they saw them in bars, restaurants, hotels, but unfortunately it didn't work out I have a hunch as to why it didn't work out, but I'm sad for them, because it's difficult to find that person who is your "soulmate" and they had great chemistry and for me they really loved each other who saw Ep IX and saw that their kiss had something like their last goodbye. And a funny thing is that I didn't know any of them when I watched TLJ and I was sure they were lovers

I hate this woman so much! One of her superfans kept ranting to me about how great her role as Ilsa Faust was, and it mostly came down to her supposed "vulnerability" and "great looks" of course (what else?) Also, he said the character couldn't be genderswapped without "losing the spirit of the character" which is sexist af. This woman always plays cowardly, agencyless 2d stereotypes who rely on looks to get by. Watch ANY of her films and it's a twist on that. Rose the Hat is a woman who relies on her looks in lieu of morals, but in all of her other films she has no agency so it doesn't matter if she has morals or not LOL.

It's so wrong to promote the gender binary by showing women as perpetually vulnerable and in need of "protecting". That's how white men keep their status quo capitalist hierarchy intact: by framing white women as fragile beings in need of "protection". This is a bigoted white male supremacist film.
@jackie-qn1bv
@jackie-qn1bv 7 ай бұрын
Also, how would the audience understand that 1) she's a woman and 2) she's a mother if she didn't CRY every 5 minutes? The genders NEED to be clearly distinguished at all times. MEN don't CRY and WOMEN DO. A LOT. If SHE didn't cry every 5 minutes she'd be like a MAN! That'll just CONFUSE the audience and challenge their narrow worldview. WE CAN'T HAVE THAT. Movies need to stroke their fragile egos and put white masculinity on a pedestal at all times. (Only MOTHERS cry, okay? FATHERS have MASCULINITY and therefore crying is TABOO for them. LOLOLOLOLOL).

Is her definition of acting just standing still with a blank look on her face or looking constipated while crying? This woman is absolutely DISGUSTING in literally every film she's in. Rose the Hat is only powerful insofar as it takes place in the misogynist world of Stephen King whose women are evil if they aren't nurturing or they're physically ugly (she's "beautiful" and not nurturing). LOLOLOL this woman is a joke.

i, personally, wouldn't say that it was a sad ending. sure, yeah, it was a sad movie. i found the story to be very sad and it made me cry a lot, but i wouldn't exactly consider it a "sad ending"

Why was he having tears when he said something he should say. Is David really a bad guy who wants many people even his own teacher?? Pls I need answers

I think my issue with the remake of the Dune movies is Chalomet (sp). He is a good actor but I cannot picture him as Paul. He doesn't seem like the Duke's son and I certainly cannot see him leading people. It needed to be an actor with more presence with the implication of ruthelessness and a lot less EMO vibe. Lady Jessica is perfectly cast though.

Really great piece of acting. There should have been a scene of her practicing her Bene Gesserit prana-bindu exercises. Rebecca would give the movements so much power. Wonder if they filmed it but dropped it. Pity. Much more impact than the breakfast scene. Paul walks in on the practice session and tries to use the voice to break her concentration.
