I have a 52 BN with the round rear axle housing and long rear axles. My Grandpa bought it used when i was in grade school and i remember people telling us to cut the end of the axles off. Fortunately that didn’t happen. It was one of the ones that also has a water pump.

I enjoy seeing the different seasons, changing look of your mountains. I have a '51 A with a no5 7' mower for North Carolina old grazing fields. My uncle gave me my first ride when I was 7 back in the 50's. At 72 now my uncle has passed away but I still have all of his haymaking equipment. Very emotional. Keep them running. These tractors were built with pride and will last forever. Sad we live in a day where everything is built to just barely make it to the end of warranty and is near impossible for the average man to fix. Never let go of these old machines! One question if I may ask, what size rear tires are on your A and what do you run on your B. I'm thinking 12.4-38 for A and a B. Fixing to put new shoes on some our tractors. Thanks for your videos, Jody

You didn't have to convert the manifold. The tractor is a multi fuel. It burns gas.

I am not a Deere Man. That said. I would imagine that this tractor’s Power and Performance is way up above and beyond a 50 possibly beyond a 60. Is that correct You Deere Men ? Fergieman

I see the front wheels wobbling back and forth, but I can’t see the steering wheel. Could your steering gear be loose? Nice country, tractor, and video!! I have a 1951 BW. Yakima hitch, live hydraulics, water pump, and tachometer/ speedometer.

Our model G had no muffler for a few years and we could hear when my Dad was using it while we were at school several miles away. Yep he sure got hard of hearing from being too cheap to get a new muffler for it, so he had to spend several times what a muffler would have cost on hearing aids later in life.

Why is it every time? I see somebody on here pulling an offset disc they don’t turn to the right all the time so they cover up that dead fur they leave a dead every time.

Nice to see the old iron out for a drive. I always like to see your old tractors in the snowy scenery. Did you get much snow this year?
@KyleWeber2 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'd say it was an average year--maybe just a little below. We had so much snow last year that it made this year seem extra low--but it was still enough snow to have some fun in :)

That dog would not be there if I was mowing. One rabbit and it happens so fast. Legs gone. Happened to my grandfather.

Hello. What do you apply to oat hay during harvest? I am from Poland and I am very interested in the issue of oat hay. How long does it take from mowing to harvesting? At what humidity do you harvest hay. Great production, great farm.

Grew up on a JD 420 row crop tractor with a tricycle front end. It still runs great. The only repair ever done was to replace the clutch. Have to say it is the most durable toughest little tractor I have ever known of. Newer John Deeres and Kubotas are smoother and easier to operate, but not better. The 2 cylinder gas-powered JD seemed so powerful and torqued with the way the governor on them worked. I remember cutting some thick fibrous grass with a 5 foot brush hog. The 420 would load up and strain , shake the whole tractor. The engine would get louder but would not die. The PTO would be turning the brush hog blades so slow that the centrifugal force would not be enough for the blades to cut the grass. Only an electric motor has more torque per RPM than a 2 banger JD. AMAZING!

Can you tell me what the line is that’s running from the oil bath air cleaner to the governor housing? Somehow that line for me is putting water back into the crank case. Not sure how.

The mennens made 1 of these along with a 620 b0th w wide front. Th£ 'g' was older (1941) w/ the grid front not th£ cylinder front and the 620 w loader was newer (1959) had this image of sitting in the home with b0th them stitch in head visor. co-al fr!

Thanks I have an L also without the SN tag they were in a bad place and easily lost when people threw a chain around the rear axel to pull something. Mine has starter and lights. that is not the difference between L and LA as someone commented. Was originally used by the ND Highway Dept to mow roadsides. Remember seeing them when I was little. I think you miss identified the oil pressure gauge as the engine temp gauge. Fun little tractors. .

Kyle, I look at Afton nature with intermittent springs. So itersting for cold water kind of spring situated in the zone of vertical circulation. In our country Croatia this type is completely different and it is periodic because of Dinaric karst. For all hydrological engineer and karstology (in one term) we are full of periodic springs like in Vrgosko polje or The Krčić River as a completely different type that is evident that there is no covering soil and hence no vegetation either in the entire spring zone or in the upstream part of catchement.
