Your plot is the most beautiful of all plots ive seen, you inspired me soooo much! I have got a shed now and painted it bright white and i love it ! I hope my plot looks as good as yours soon! I have got a second hand greenhouse being put up on saturday and was thinking about making a bit of staging, and i have already got one of those ikea shoe racks, still in the packaging! So im going ti do the same as you, brilliant idea! And the netting is a fantastic idea too… right i need to go and get some bits from ikea! Thankyou so much!

Aw that's so kind, thank you. I love the idea of a white shed 😊 I am very much of the mind: make it your plot, a happy place, personalise it to your needs and don't worry if it is different to your plot neighbours. Have fun with IKEA purchases. 🙂🌻

Hi Christine, You have created a beautiful allotment plot, I love the neatness and order. The white flower floppy plant is Achilliea, Mine does exactly the same. I'm not that keen on it's unruly behaviour. The one next to it the limey green flower is Alchemilea mollis "lady's mantle" i think. Thank you for sharing 🐞🌻🌱

Don't let that alchemilla mollis set seed. It's a pretty thing and my wife loves it, but if you don't cut it back the moment it's finished flowering, you'll find yourself digging it out of everywhere for the rest of your life. The achillea will take over everything, so it would be great in a bare unused corner somewhere

Hi Christine! I wish I'd come and talked to you about the poly tunnel while I was on my plot yesterday. It looks great! I hope it doesn't get wrecked by the next storm as I'd really like one on my plot. An idea for the floor... instead of trying to level that heavy clay, maybe re-lay the membrane and use wood chippings to create a level floor?
@LittleGreenShedAllotment16 күн бұрын
Hello Sue, pop down next time and take a look. Thankfully I don't think this one is going anywhere, the company that built and installed it have been known to do 30ft long commercial ones along the coastline of Scotland and they are still standing. 😊 I worked on the floor over the weekend, it is fairly level now, got some paving slabs down and putting a little bit of gravel down for the pots so hopefully all good.
@jane373018 күн бұрын
Exciting times for you ahead Christine, I think I would use a natural material for the ground. The weed suppressant fabric doesn't do the ground any favours at all, starving it of light and air. Lovely video of the Fantastic Mr. Fox. Thanks for sharing.🐞🌻🌱
