Episode 13 - Arches Wired and Day Out!

2 ай бұрынThis week an assortment! The arches now have wire, first lot of potatoes have been put into pots, decision on the little cold frame/greenhouse in the home garden, and BIG decision on the polytunnel at the allotment. Oh yes, a day out too...

I really hope you feel better soon Christine! The chicken wire looks great on the arch! It will make the arch so much stronger too! Such a great trip to the studio! What an exciting experience! Such a lovely sight the potato buckets! Great new spot for your little cold frame, it looks good there! I do love your cottage garden! I love calla lilies! They are so gorgeous! You chose beautiful colours! Nice water butt, good decision! Thank you for the mention Christine, you are always so kind to us! You are going to love your polytunnel. I think you made a good decision about moving the polytunnel to a more sheltered position. They are an investment and you want to protect it. Smaller beds are a lot easier to look after and you can plant more varieties in lots of different smaller beds. I love all your future plans, it is going to look fantastic! I cannot wait to see it! You are absolutely right, we do keep changing our plans on allotments, our gardens are constantly evolving! Have a wonderful Easter weekend! 😘💕🌸

Aw thank you so much Nanou. Just watched your video, was laughing at beautiful Cezanne, called my son into watch as we are big cat lovers here. I think it's lovely to have the freedom to change our plots, I wouldn't attempt the alterations in the home garden 😀. Have a lovely long weekend and let's hope the weather is kind. 😊🌻💕

Thank you, I wasn't sure whether to include the trip to QI but I too enjoy seeing people out and about on their videos. Water butt is much better, I think I will be investing in a second one...! 😀

Ooh, being in the audience of QI! How cool 🤩 Wishing you a speedy recovery! My garden news is that the snow and ice FINALLY have melted. The first few inches in the cold frame is now frost free, although the ground still is quite frozen. But it’s going in the right direction 🥰 Today we rented a wood chipper to process quite a lot of branches from our huge tree. Tomorrow, given my muscles agree, I’ll spread the wood chips inbetween my raised beds.

I think better to be safe than sorry as that is a main path. I've just got quite a bit of moving around ahead but it will be worth it. Hope you are having a great week. 😊
