@archiebeatz, how to update the firmware on the motive mix app?

Thanks for the quick overview. I was looking at the mv7 already. Now it looks like I'll get the plus now.

@@archiebeatz Luck had it this showed up in my feed. For me it was the right length and gave some examples of what to expect. You have good presentation for this material IMO. To me audio is more important, so I can listen on the go. Video backgroud looks good (equipment envy too). The only other item that I have a question on a 2nd listening is if you write a script out or just go off a key point list you want to point out? Just checked some othervideos and subbed.

I Love Shure mics , I use a Ksm44 and ksm42 for vocals, I'm a Rapper and the 44 is really good for Rap vocals 👌🏾 👏🏾

The no audio interface was huge for me. It's nice to be able to have it so easily interchangable without having to worry about XLR connections, etc.

I actually may consider this mic specifically for podcasting. I already have 2 UNIVERSAL AUDIO SPHERE LX , but these are condenser mics and capture alot of fan noise from my PC in the room. So as I learned that dynamic mics are much more practical because of the way they target the sound source, it was time to consider a SHURE mic. I was dreading spending over $400 on the SMB7, and then read all about how the gain is weak and that buying a cloud lifter may be needed.. Another expense! But then I realized that I just need a solid quality mic for podcasting that is affordable. This MV7+ is what I think I may go for, not only because of price, but because of the versatility. I like that I can record USB with dsp directly into any app (OBS, Zoom ,etc) but then also go XLR right into my Universal Audio Apollo unit. I know the industry standard is the SM7B, but I can't justify spending that much on a mic just for podcasting. Especially when I already have 2 amazing condenser mics from universal audio for singers, musicians and more. Either way, this video helped me. Thanks Archie.

As a remote worker, I’m even considering it as a high end alternative to my wireless Antlion ModMic. Totally different league of course, but it appeals to folks like me as well, not just for podcasting and streaming! It’s not likely for my use case, but definitely appeals on the high end considering everything it does in a single package.

Great video! I am hesitating between Shure MV7+ AND SM7dB + interface shure MVX2U (to make it USB). Which one would you recommend? I have no gears and want to do video podcasting/ youtube interviews with remote guest using Riverside. I want to keep it simple but with good sound. Does the MV7+ requires an interface or amp boost to sound good? Thank you!

I reviewed MV7+ and I wasn’t convinced this mic is suitable for me. If you’re interested, I did a couple videos where I did sound comparisons and I concluded I would prefer the old MV7X with MVX2U interface

Honestly speaking after buy the sm7b. It sounds really good like a pro mic but after posting on KZfaq the quality disappears. You can’t really get the full experience after KZfaq compression

Hay bro, love your videos, but I had a quick question. What audio interface do you use for the DT 1990 Pro headphones and what microphone do you use?

Yo Archie, I was just wondering if your willing to do like a, “Best vocal chain for the (Audio Preamp)/(Compressor) series” like you do with the microphones cuz im considering the WA-76

I am new into the high quality microphones. I already have an Audent EVO 4 for my headphones. It already has a Mic preamp. Do you think this microphone is overkill considering I already have a pre amp? Could I get something better quality for the same price, forgoing the built-in amp? Or do the other features make this Mic punch above its price point, considering the no need for its amp. Thanks in advance

How should I connect it to computer via usb? Should I connect it as input device or output device? Should I connect as Motiv mix app or mshure mv7+ mic?

8:55 - One question on this: Is it like Logitech G Hub and some of their devices (e.g. Logitech G Pro mouse) where, yeah they got software with all the buttons/knobs to tweak settings, but they still retain settings on-device so that if the software isn’t running, it’s still configured properly? Asking since the software can sometimes be clunky or take up memory/CPU when working and ideally some of this processing can be done on-mic, for efficiency and convenience.

Hi Patrick. Yuri from Shure here. All of the DSP settings get stored on the mic so once set up in MotivMix, you can exit the software!
