Hello! Great video! I have a dataverse question. I am trying to move my access database over to Dataverse so I can use powerapps and PowerBI with my data. I'm working on moving my tables over and getting the data types straight and I had a question about the formula data type in the dataverse columns. How would I go about multiplying Column 1 from Table 1 by Column 2 from Table 2 with the column creation being in Table 1? I tried to use an if statement stating that if the IDs are equal in both tables, then multiply the values from the two columns. I currently have this line of code: If(Table1ID = Table2.Table2ID, Column1 * Table2.Column2) and it returns nothing. I have a Many:One relationship between Table 1 and Table 2. Thank you for your help!

This was the 4rth time I started watching this video. The duration is very intimidating so I thought I would start only on a day where I would have enough time to cover a substantial bit of this video so that I don't leave it in between. However, once I got into the groove, it was bingeworthy. I learnt so much from just the first 37 minutes that I didn't want to stop. I like the way you make things very simple, think on the fly, and do loud thinking. PowerApps is not something someone can learn just by following instructions, you need to have a thought process and your way of teaching helps students develop that. Thanks a lot, keep coming up with such videos, but do add a disclaimer - "Don't get scared by the video length, the stuff discussed in here is fairly easy to grasp" This would definitely encourage students like me who have a little bit of basic knowledge and want to take it to the next level. Thanks again, you are awesome!

Thank you for this. It made my day. 😋👍👍❤‍🔥❤‍🔥 I do long videos like this almost every Saturday morning. Have you seen any of the others? ...and, if so, would you say the same about any of or most of the other long ones? ...if not, what makes this one in particular stand out as more valuable? It's my job to identify what is the absolute most valuable to you guys, and do more of that, and not whatever pops in my head. Thanks so much for this comment. I will pin it! 😍

@@PowerAppsTutorial you are most welcome, thanks for honoring my comment. I am on a steep learning curve and am watching a lot of your videos and commenting wherever possible. I particularly loved your left menu video. In fact I tried joining skool but got rejected. Also I work with Excel and powerbi youtubers for their content and downloadable files, so if u ever need a helping hand I am available, lmk where I should contact you for those. I love the fact that it is about reusing screens...that's one great aspect of PowerApps, for example I have reused the same popup in multiple apps...I want to build an inventory of items, like components so I can deliver faster... I loved this idea so much that I made it my first SQL DB in learning SQL. So I have it on eval for 6 months. that takes me right up to playoffs. Its perfect. Do you have or know of any videos on setting up the tables in SQL? I'm using GPT for that but would love to see it done as well.

I actually tried recreating my company's app a couple of days ago using this new feature in preview mode. The real challenge is customizing the app because, even though the app I made is different from your demo app, it looks the same, lol. I want to have a sidebar for the menu, sub-menu, footer, etc., not just data from a Dataverse table with a scroll bar on the side. I also noticed in the video that you've put the year of the car in numbers, but you can also ask Copilot to change the type of that variable. For example, 'Change Year column type to Text' to remove the comma in '2,020.' I am also curious about the tables created in that way. Can we put them in one solution so they're not mixed with the default tables? Additionally, if we've created those tables and saved them to build the app, is it possible to later add another table, connect it to an existing table, and rebuild it again?

I may be too naive, but so far, AI is good to create/affect lot of data faster. Everything details (like title, create single column ) you try in this video seems faster if you do the changes by yourself instead of typing to the AI. The fact that it can create all the table at once is really interesting. I repeat, it’s my modest opinion

@@PowerAppsTutorial I was reading that you're a relationships expert. For sharepoint lists being used primarily by power apps, do you reccommend using single text columns over lookup columns for simplicity? And if so do you have any videos on that? Creating list associations with signle text column. I guess it would need a ID column too? LOL so lost on this stuff as I'm new to it all.

Nice video! I'm not much of a database person, but I'm very curious about how you connect multiple sharepoint lists together in a 1 to 1 relationship using the ID column as the primary key. Surely, if the lists have a different amount of records those ID numbers won't match up to another list ... can you explain how you get the two lists to connect via this ID?

@@PowerAppsTutorial Thanks for the clarification - I didn't realize you were simply patching one list's ID into the other list as seperate column, I thought it was directly comparing each list item's ID to ID which didnt make any sense lol. So is there any downside to NOT using the ID column, and for two seperate lists to use one single unique identifier like "CustomerName" which will always be the same on both lists? Thanks.
