I just recently bought my first 2019 wrx sti. I love it so much. I’m looking to make mine sound more like the white and blue wrx. This may be a dumb question… but out of curiosity what makes the car do all the pops like how all of the cars do in this video? I love all the little pops. But I’m not sure what mod I need to do to make mine sound like that.

1 question. What is the concern with rain. I don't see a water trap, so is all that water going inside the engine bay?
@WRXGarageАй бұрын
Yes, water gets in there, but it's really not as much as you'd think. When driving in the rain, a ton of water comes through your radiator on a normal car anyways. Modern engines are built to withstand water

Shouldn't put the diff top plug in if it has oil running out. That is too full. Gail Banks found that over filling a diff, even just a little will cause it to run too hot.

Not to be a buzz kill, but the shifter is going on a glass trans. At that price point if your planing on making power which is much easier on the FA24 then EJ's in the past. Save for an STI trans without the cable crap from the factory that can handle twice the power. When you blow your trans and clutch like I have you will feel stupid for spending on shifters that won't swap over.

I will add one thing. Unless one has about 20/5 color vision, please do not drive big power cars. Damit.
@mattcollins24802 ай бұрын
I installed this awesome product on my 2020 Subaru WRX with the Brembo Performance Package. Once configured with the right torque value, the brake force in the brake lines increases quite a bit. If you drive big power, this will save your life, especially if you are too exuberant on the highway. Too many young men die on the road every night with too much power and an aftermarket turbo kit. The stock brakes with stock brake pads heat soak rather easily. The crash is usually death. At least have the decency to at least change the stock brake pads for cheap metallic compound formulation.

New to this Subaru community as I have owned Hondas and Nissans and this video helps put everything at ease for me. I was lucky to pick up a used 2020 WRX Premium from my local Subaru dealership with 32k miles on it. I did purchase a powertrain extended warranty because I know how fragile these cars are but I do want to modify it to have a good amount of HP for a daily. I’m willing to risk “voiding” it if it’s gonna help make my car reliable. Everything is stock from what the sales person said( and I checked everything) only has an axle back. What would be some good mods for a daily? I’m looking at 300-310 WHP. Again awesome video! Aloha 🤙🏻 Dom
@WRXGarage2 ай бұрын
Honestly.. I really disagree with people who think these cars are fragile.. watch some of my track videos where I'm redlining it in 100⁰ air temp for multiple 2+ mile laps haha.. I truly think there's just a lot of people out there who 1. Don't do their maintenance 2. Don't let the car warmup correctly or 3. Don't use the right tune for the right parts. If you avoid all 3 of those and don't moneyshift you should be fine haha. For parts: COBB Accessport and their stage 2 package. It'll be 50 states legal and you don't need a protune. I'd also suggest aftermarket brake pads and coilovers

@@WRXGarage yeah I feel Subaru has been around long enough and most of the problems stem from ownership. I baby the WRX with proper warm up and oil checks as well as maintenance. Btw AOS systems, I’ve read that the lines can get clogged and possibly damaging some of the engines or turbo. Should I be concerned on installing one? And if recommended, what’s a good brand? I live in Hawaii so our weather is pretty much same all year round.
@WRXGarage2 ай бұрын
It's more likely that AOS gets clogged due to cold weather so you should be good in Hawaii! IAG, COBB, and Crawford for AOS brand

PSA: STI swaps aren’t much more than this!! Why would anyone spend 1400 on a SHIFTER for a glass split case… get a short throw n bushings and call it a day.. if one’s really trying to piss away 1400 on one of these split cases, get a carbon drive shaft, at least you gain a little power and smoothen out your acceleration..

Ok so whats the update on the TEMPERATURES!! Is the install worth it?? I mean I just bought them and bout to install eitherway😂 But I want to know DATA!!
@WRXGarage2 ай бұрын
Honestly.. it's difficult to tell a difference unless you're really pushing the car to its limit on track. That being said, coolant temps were definitely better as more air is flowing through the radiator and FMIC. IATs were definitely a bit better too! If I remember correctly I think I saw around 5-10 degrees F lower coolant temp. The Oil cooler also made a massive difference!
@Juanparrastudio2 ай бұрын
@@WRXGarage damn thats good to hear bro. Because I have Getadom cooling mod installed, Koyo radiator, lower temp Thermostat and these 3 have given me crazy low temps and I live in Miami Florida... summer get HOT... maybe no DRY HOT live California but I just love to see my cars engine COOL 180-185 max temp F.
@WRXGarage2 ай бұрын
That's awesome! On track, you'll see coolant temps up near 230 which is scary. Once you add an oil cooler which eliminates the oil/coolant crossover the oil will stop heating the coolant at those crazy high temps
