Not all of these rioters are far right. Theres no opitunities for many young people. The far right like that situation because its good for recruitment. If theres no jobs and no self respect then people will sink to new lows and lack respect for others. Rather than condemn, people should be asking, why did so many do it.

Because the Rotherham scandal and government cover up of the abuse of white kids by asian men. This made a lot of people very angry that's when it changed. I'm from the north, I don't have any problem with ethnicity but in some towns, tensions have been rising, for years and the politicians chose to ignore it.

You're wrong. I'm not impoverished and I've had good prospects /success in my lifetime ...and I've live a wonderful life and I live in a big beautiful house in the United States. And I'm well educated beyond a bachelors degree. With other technical degrees. So now I'm not a knuckle dragger like you are imposing on these people. I'm educated and doing well. Do you think I want pieces of crap to come in my country and harm my family? You are very shortsighted with your simplistic thoughts on these people not being heard. When you are frustrated and not heard and you feel hopeless, you will turn to rioting. Just like the black population finally did in the United States and they got results .They're talking about crime that entered with all the illegal immigration and mass immigration. They're talking about how they and their parents are struggling while they watch illegal immigrants half of which are probably criminals put up and swank hotels and get given everything. Get a clue Junior . Your new leader is a jackass. He doesn't get it. He's painting everybody with one broadbrush. Far right. I've seen the riots and I seen normal working class. People fed up. Again get a clue Junior.

I think you are right. It’s no accident that the former industrial areas of the UK have been the epicentre of this wave of violence. Although I live in Brighton & Hove now, I grew up in the industrial West Midlands. The greatest post 16 educator was the workplace. All the smart kids left school and got apprenticeships in industry. Although the area was rough around the edges there was disposable income and a vibrancy about the place. Now, when I go back and visit the area has nothing going for it. It’s a post industrial wasteland. This is the result of the Tory policy to move to a service based economy without planning the replacement for the heavy industry that was discontinued. The area is “left behind” where people visibly have nothing and limited opportunity. It is fertile ground for the social unrest we have seen. Their lives have been cynically manipulated by some unsavoury politicians for their own ends and financial gain.

We had two young girls killed by a school caretaker. We didn't take to the streets and riot. We didn't damage property or set fires or throw bricks at anyone. What is the difference? It was a different decade and we hadn't been brainwashed for 14 years by Tory bigots!

I have a 18 yr old, he wants to be a mechanical engineer, he worked very hard at school even Saturday and Sunday school he got the grades wanted, we have applied for 9 apprenticeships so far, he had one interview and haven't heard back from them. I listen to a lot of people who say these young people are lazy, yet when they are applying for jobs no one is giving them a chance. There is no way once I am still alive will my son go rioting, I have thought him about the toughness of life since he was about 7. I was born in Guyana I came to London at 15 I started working at 17 and still working, my son was born here, as a black people I have studied, worked and pay taxes in this country, I have experience racism even in the place I work but I still work, even thought I have done so much for this country some people still think I don't belong, I love this country but it hurts like hell knowing some think of you in this way.

Expecting to have a career and ending up with a job is incredibly demoralising. I worked in retail for a bit. I saw kids come straight from school or college, full of life, and within two months they looked clinically depressed, and who can blame them? The realisation that you're going to spend half of your life bored to the point of literal tears and that you won't earn enough to cover the most basic life is pretty distressing. We hear that jobs are the answer to most social woes and I get that, but for a lot of young people, their job is the source of their misery. All their dreams have been replaced by a fight for survival and they're angry ... but I'll be honest, I don't think that explains this, I think it has more to do with them growing up in an environment that respects/glorifies violence and has an almost romantic image of themselves as warriors - warriors need a cause

I have a 21-year old, he attended grammar which was a small dream as nobody else had gone to such a skool, then took Science based A-levels, then a hard Uni course with 1-yr internship and moved around Uk as students do. All becos I told my child using your brain is easier then physical jobs which take a toll on ur body. If it weren't for the good prospects, I can see any young person depressed with the pressures. Even I sit in depression and have no debt! I think I will sell my home and gift it to my child so at least he has his own place to live.

@@ExoticDoll-ct3ud That's it, isn't it? Your lad seems pretty exceptional and just as importantly, he doesn't seem to have lost any time; he's not playing catch up. And best of luck to him, I genuinely hope he gets the most out of his hard work. Unfortunately, most aren't exceptional and even if they were, they're miles behind the game before they start. Today has been coming for 30 years . Britain has too many people in it. Most of the extra people live in social housing free. Plus on benefits. This puts up house prices further. The rich get richer. The poorer people who have half a brain think I can't afford to have children. Yet other come here and produce no end of children. Don't you know this 😢

If the free market was so great and it's fundamental priciples work so well, why is there such high demand for homes and so little supply? Plenty of people are willing to give housing investors money, just not as much as they'd like, and so they'll rather invest in quick and easy (and often manipulative) schemes such as Cryptocurrency that provide little to no jobs, and just wastes huge amounts of energy. How is this system sustainable? Where are people's job, especially with AI and automation? Where is the money coming from? We need tax reform, we need to tax the dividends of bad investments and reduce the tax or even subsidise good investments that create good, well paid, and as local as possible jobs.
