As a 2d artist thats worked on a bunch of mods like Enforcer, Paladin, Starstorm 2, ive had a front row seat to the crazy code changes theyve made that cause so many bugs. Never mind the poor quality of some of the content itself, the vanilla game is in shambles, i feel like i see a new bug every half an hour. So much shit from movement to damage to the ENEMY SPAWN DIRECTOR are now tied to FPS for some reason. Thats just tbe surface. What an absolute mess.

Letting gearbox do whatever they want with ror2 is like giving your newborn to that one person you're 100% sure they'll drop them on the floor. You knew what will happen but still did it anyways.

Didn’t even bother buying it, looked at what it included 4 maps, like 30 items, 2 characters. Then I noticed that The game and both DLC are on sale for 30$… The New DLC ALONE is 15$…. Ha ok

In terms of content, it is a nice complementary DLC to SotV The new characters, stages and new boss mesh surprisingly well with the rest of the game (even if Seeker is a big oof in terms of damage). The new items may not affect the meat in a huge way, but I think it is a good thing. These situationally good items are very good in Multiplayer, and all the item-generating items definitely allow more multiplayer sessions without requiring Artifact of Sacrifice. The biggest thing I like about the DLC is the alt path. Having an alternate harder stage progression to optionally access is very cool in the many games that do implement it (such as in Binding of Isaac Repentance). The only issue I have with this is its gold requirement, which is an impossible roadblock to go through if you have the new lunar item (horrible item in general without a good setup) Sadly, the content in this DLC have been completely eclipsed by the bugs and softlocks. There were several times where I went to the lunar shop just to avoid certain stages where the tele can rarely spawn in impossible to reach spots (such as Rallypoint Delta). Several enemies' AI completely broke in this update. Some parts feel intended (such as the misses when the enemy is off acreen), but others feel like they were not intended in the slightest. XBox users can't even play the game. Some survivor abilities (and even enemy abilities) will randomly clip through floors and walls. Some other survivor abilities do not even work the same at all, with no changelog notes to explain if it is even intended or not.

i had that teleporter bug once (where it doesn't spawn). it's just incredibly rare and basically never happens to anyone

I love the content but the bugs do suck. Once they're fixed I think it'll be great

Why is it always when gearbox gets hands on a game that has been running well and decent it just gets fucked by them. why do we not learn from rushing stuff it will rarely work out and the amount of bug fixing that needs to be done isnt worth the time

For those who unlocked it, what's your opinion on the last unlockable survivor? Personally I found it really fun and strong but I played it on monsoon.

how can one rush a dlc that took them 2 years to make?

The teleporter bug where it doesn't spawn has happened to me twice, both when rubbing a massive amount of artifacts or during laggy multiplayer. Maybe that has something to do with it? My PC is nearing 9 years old, so it could be a power PC issue. But I have seen the teleporter not spawn twice, once after the DLC dropped.

the secret character (its only day 3 so im not gonna say it) is one of the most fun characters ive played, however i have to note it feels almost like an exact copy of the modded character "paladin" in terms of most its attacks and abilitys

"Fixed interactables and teleporter not spawning" my arse. In my over 500 hours, I have never experienced this until yesterday, after the update, where my acrid eclipse run was cut short due to their being nothing spawned on Abandoned Aquaduct. They didn't fix it, they added it.

I cant even play ror2 after the update anymore the very first loading screen just gets stuck at 3%

All those enemies in the teaser must have had one health or something. That or they tuned up her damage just for the reveal. What a disappointment. It's not fun just running around and peppering enemies as they spawn out of control while using your healing to stay alive.

The moment the IP was sold to Gearbox of all companies, I knew this game was cooked. A real shame too, but I guess Hopoo saw the dollar signs and decided that the series they made wasn't worth protecting from a company that shits on most things they touch.

u asked that what if u added ignition tank on chef ? well that was actually the first thing i did, he was absolutely broken, i died but that was bc i didnt collect healing items and mobility (i relied on his utility) which was a mistake but if i balanced my item collection correctly the i wouldve gotten a god run

I bought the dlc and it completely whipped my entire save data im extremely disappointed and most likely wont touch this game again :/

Ive only done two runs with seekers so far and apart from a UI bug and performance issues causeb by being a client on multiplayer (the later was not caused by the update) my only issue so far has been a lot of the new item models look like there in a diferent style to the base game items there models look like modded items

Maybe this is just bait and I'm being baited by the video and title but... I haven't had a single issue with Seeker? Maybe I'm ass at the game or maybe I just found the cooldown rotation easier for my brain to work with but I think Seeker's damage is completely fine? I haven't had any feelings like she's weak at all. She is more on the technical side I guess, she has very unique abilities that have a lot of different interactions with different things but yeah I saw your video in my reccs and was actually shocked eyebrows raised you think she's bad. She's definitely not Railgunner levels of strong early game but I haven't had a single issue moving through stages early game or felt like she didn't do damage... I mean fuck who knows considering all the bugs there could be one involved that's caused by our different hardware which makes her feel different. Because I def don't think it's like some skill issue on your part, you're a hundred times better at the game than I am. I don't know man. The dissonance is confusing to me.

I don't have high hopes for Gearbox. If they abandon us, which isn't the most unlikely scenario, the game from now on will have to be played with either an older patch, or some sort of "fix all SotS bugs" master mod or fan patch. That's pathetic for one of the biggest roguelikes in the world which impressed the world with its release.

But most importantly they have fixed the regional pricing!

Even if you didn't buy the dlc, the update is also bad. No outline on shops, they removed pot rolling, they changed healthbars and now it's hard to notice if you take damage...

The update for me so far has been alright at best. A 6/10 at least maybe less. The new characters are fun but I feel like The False Son is kind of meh. Also when I saw how many items were added I went “that’s all of them?” I really thought there would be wayyyyy more like the void dlc.

i feel like as good as chef is, hes not as fun as the rorr or ror1 version in this update,,, i dont enjoy the fact you have ammo for his m1, the terrible range of sear, or the low speed you gain from his shift even if he isnt that bad i cant get over how dissapointed i was in how way worse he is translated into ror2,, i hope the devs do some changes for him to have a more reliable kit in the future
