You tried IdeaMaker? I'm just testing it out and thinking to keeping it as my daily driver now. It has this feature already and the settings are not to dissimilar from s3d.

I'm going to be experimenting with infill angles with different base infills this week. I hope that sentence made sense.

That's what I had in mind, but that's pretty laborious and not really repeatable.

The one infill that I modify for interesting results is wiggle. I use it typically when doing roundish objects. I set the angles I want and have them on all angles. It ends up printing a spot in the center with radiating arms at each of the angles which works well for round things in my experience.

"Necessary" no. It is super helpful though. Its great for helping with bubbles as they can rise to the surface better in a warm environment. It also helps to put the molds into the tank a couple hours before you pour them. With the wood nice and warm it also helps with bubbles escaping.

I tried that on the first few as an experiment, and ultimately had issues with the resin not hardening properly. I tried acrylic and water based.

A jewelry cleaner would probably work well! I have changed my method slightly, now I put the wood blocks after they are taped into molds into the core tank and let them get nice and warm. I then pour the resin in on the warm wood and it really helps get the clarity up. You can additionally use a heat gun on the outside of the cup before you pour the resin to get a lot of bubbles out. I can't stress enough not to blow a heat gun directly at the resin as any particulates in the are will be blown into the mix. A hair dryer is also a good tool for this job as it operates at a lower temperature then the heat gun. You can also put the molds in the oven before you pour them at 125 degrees fahrenheit.
