I remember watching this about 2 years after it came out. This video is 5 years old and I am seriously into anime now. Seeing the Portland skyline in that beautiful Ghibli style animation actually made me choke up a bit and made me realize. We need a proper Oregon anime. Yes we have Gravity Falls but I don't feel it does justice to the natural beauty of this state, and it's not a proper anime. I would give anything to watch an anime about a group of friends go around Oregon and just be a bunch of goofballs together! (Edit) *OH MY GOD THEY MADE TWO MORE!*

I've been to Oregon and this is pretty accurate - not sure which parts they say are slightly exaggerated. Also, I want to make a joke about a place being apparently so bad that they need to literally make things up to convince people to visit, but in reality Oregon is actually pretty beautiful and has a lot going for it, so it wouldn't be accurate.

I worked for the forestry dept in the 80s working in the area including a winter at the park . There's something special about the energy I've rarely felt the other remote places I've spent time at . Always look fondly at that time in my life I will say the cold showers were not ideal & battling raccoons Who would vandalize the cabin all the time, leaving a terrible costly mess regularly !
