Yes it is, but they need a losing season so they can get a decent draft pick. Idk though Mark, 2 of those sacks the defense was on him in no time. You must just have forgot that or it didn’t fit in with your narrative. Fields is horrible and you know it. Fields is regressing too

I’m a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. Russell Wilson wasn’t the reason why we lost games. Wilson created a solid season despite Payton’s disdain for him and a lot of personal, even some racist attacks on him by the media and some fans. Bottom line; 1-5 to 6-5 and beat KC for the first time in six years. While I respect Mark Schlereth and other analysts who have forgotten more football than I will ever know, it was Schlereth who said Hackett was running a base wide offense and not calling plays appropriate for that offense. Mark said that. We can’t rewrite history. We can march on. I want the Broncos to do well this season and in the future, but let’s not be disingenuous. Mark said Nix is everything Wilson is not. If that’s the case, as good as Wilson has been overall in his career, the Broncos should win the SB this season. Finally, don’t give me this crap about other players and good defenses bailing Wilson out. If that’s the case, Montana was bailed out by Rice, Clark, Craig, and Lott. Aikman was bailed out by Irving, Smith, and Newton. Need I say more? Yes, let’s march on and enjoy the future Broncos, but tell the facts about the past. RW was flat out not coached earnestly by Payton. It was okay Payton didn’t want him, it wasn’t okay the way Payton handled the team last season. Now, let’s march on in truth.

Russell Wilson and Derek Carr need to wake up and realize that being Derek Fisher isn’t a bad thing. Not everyone can be Kobe Bryant. Play your role and win. Nobody is a bigger poster boy for you’re not that guy than Derek Carr but Wilson is quickly getting close. Russ had his moments.. that’s what makes it so tough to watch.

Man, the disrespect is real. But, at least with Mark Schlereth, he justified in his own personal views, whereas Louis Riddick just outright disrespectful claiming, and I quote: "When Dolphins win, it's because of Tyreek...when Dolphins lose, it's because of Tua." Yeah, wrap your head around that Doplhin fans. According to Riddick, Tua is a bum but Tyreek is so great that any bum can just lobbed the ball up in Tyreek's direction and Tyreek will catch it for a TD. Appearantly, Tyreek is playing both, the QB and WR positions😂😂

Minshew elevates the people around him & yeah, they do seem to love him. But He Himself feels like he's 45 minutes more in the gym away from being Good Enough. Seriously, I think he needs a bow-flex or some resistance training that also makes him more flexible. He's lacking some physical oomph that leaves him Just Short of another level & when he has to scramble, he looks unprepared. It costs him a few key missed passes. The Raiders' o-line isn't as good as the Colts' was.

More ppl need to call-out Russ for what he is, and in many ways, has been. His athleticism and quickness in Seattle allowed him to mask bad decisions and wrong decisions. Now, he can't do that, or very infrequently. If Pittsburgh starts 0-3/1-4 early, the bottom could fall-out of this ship!

According to Mark it's never the offensive line's fault when a QB gets sacked. Especially if that QB is named Russell Wilson. Mark clearly just doesn't like the guy and it's clouding his judgement. I don't know how you could watch that Steelers preseason game and think the offensive line had nothing to do with those sacks. Sometimes Russell Wilson holds the ball too long and takes a sack he shouldn't take, and other times it IS the offensive line's fault. I think for many in Bronco Land Russell Wilson is a convenient scapegoat for everything wrong with their franchise. But it wasn't Russ's fault the Broncos hired a total incompetent head coach in Nathaniel Hackett. It wasn't Russ's fault the Bronco's defense was historically bad the first 6 games of last season, putting the team in a 1-5 hole. It wasn't Russ's fault the Bronco's run game was nonexistent. You can blame Russ for taking too many sacks, but your team's problems run much deeper than one QB.

You are not wrong I don’t like the way he plays and his lack of taking responsibility, which is the QB’s job they were not good upfront. I agree with you. I went back and watched the coaches tape. There were several balls. He could’ve thrown away and steady held on and took the sack, which is unacceptable.

@@StinkinTruthPodcast As someone who has worked middle management, coached, trained etc. I'm often stunned when I run into people who can't think _and_ have dislikes. Sadly, studies show most people _only_ have emotions that pass for thoughts. The Steelers' o-line has sucked forever. They drafted o-line talent the past 2 years. "Maybe it's the o-line coach?" Tomlin refuses to hold anyone accountable. Matt Canada *publicly stated that* he thought the Steelers *were incapable of* mounting comebacks. Tomlin didn't fire him then & there. Can you imagine a player saying this & not being traded for being a cancer in the locker-room? A _coach_ said it with a mic in his face, that was okay. As for Fields he is now officially The Unluckiest NFL Player ever. He set accuracy records in college: people dismissed this as being his receiving corps (who adjusted the ball mid-flight I guess) then got onto the Bears. His passes hit his receivers in their hands as they run. *_This_* kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndKglNySld7eXWg.html is what Bears' receivers did 1) to avoid being near the ball when it came & in the case of Darnell Mooney, swatted the football away as if he was having a flashback to that time the neighbor's chihuahua got territorial. 3 times in 12 games he managed to swat passes into the hands of the other team. Plus twice his coaches yell into his headset to "snap the ball & throw it, the defense has 12 men on the field." His coach was wrong both times. _Then_ after calling out his *new* coaches publicly they react by changing the play-calls & he leads *that receiving corps* to 31 points a game 4 games in a row. Remember how I said many people _ONLY_ have emotions for thoughts? *Because* people enjoyed blaming fields for all the bad in CHI they now dismissed his having proven them wrong. & because we hear what media says about things & media stopped talking about it, _we the fans_ seem to have forgotten that this proved only the play-calling was holding him back. This was before they acquired D.J. Moore. It's amazing what we miss when we're busy fulfilling the desires of emotional non-thinking. When we get angry we get impatient. We saw that o-line fail _both_ QBs *all* game. Both things can be true, that the o-line & QBs suck. But until that o-line holds a pocket consistently _AND_ Arthur Smith allows receivers to go further out than 15 yards, we may never get to know what either QB is capable of. I mean _look_ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a7B_ZLOk2taqj4k.html at how accurate Fields was in college. we're talking Aaron Rodgers levels only he always throws low-flying passes that due to his arm strength get to the receivers too fast for defenders to make plays on 'em. This reduces INTs & adds YAC. He ends up on the one team stacked with receivers that are afraid to catch accurate passes.

Is it Russes fault hes the most sacked qb in the NFL since 2012? By over 100 sacks on the second most. Is it over a decade of bad oline play or is he just a sack machine? Hes trash he was awful in Denver I suffered through every miserable snap of him as a Bronco. He holds the ball he doesnt anticipate the pressure. Most of the time he seemed oblivious to where the pressure was coming from. I couldnt stand the way he played. His swing passes and checks were always late and atrocious ball placment.

@@gaberox1 That doesn't mean the Steelers' o-line is good. But thanks for those stats. I'm gonna hold onto them & use them wherever. I was a huge Russ fan. But having likes doesn't impede my ability to see. The same reason I know you're right about Russ is the same reason I know everyone following the narratives about Fields are wrong. One _could find_ what looks like evidence of Fields not being able to read defenses. The thing is, 'looks like' & 'is' aren't always the same thing. Brett Kollmann proved for instance kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h9uYiMV6uNTWaKc.html that Fields reads them at an elevated level. Since one can't unlearn this, what we think we're seeing must be something else.

I love criticizing Wilson... his right tackle was getting blown up though... that being said... if he knew how to step up in the pocket, throw with anticipation, or just feel what's going on around him better in general, he wouldn't be taking so many sacks. There really does seem to be significant processing lag for him.

It took two years in Denver for us to understand what the problem was with Wilson. As you say, the problem was Russ. The Seahawks fans tried to tell us but it took us two years to figure it out. Russ is indeed cooked. Think about this, Denver is paying him $85 Million to play for somebody, anybody else. Basically, Denver paid him to go away. Daniel Jones is a veteran QB who plays like a rookie. Too many mistakes. Of course, the Giants are not the best franchise for QBs.
