Great to hear these are working for you. I've debated magnetic filters many times now, but, cost always has me gun shy. I also tend to put a CPL on and pretty much only use that as a filter choice... so screw on circular are my go-to still. That said, maybe when K&F brings their v2 around I'll be ready to drop some proper money into a magnetic set.

Concerning the stacking and vignetting problem. It's very easy to remove the little bit of vignetting in f.ex. lightroom. But I only have one weekends experience with this filter system, so there is that. I could go up a filter size but then I wont be able to use the sun screen. And I often need that.

Good video and enjoyed the information and your experiences. I have just invested in the K&F system and still waiting to get out and put it to the test. I purchased the package which included the CPL+ND8+ND64+Magnetic Ring+Cap. I then purchased the ND1000 separately making a total of about £117 when using coupon. `i think that is a bargain price when compared to the competition.

Just a quick disclaimer! K&F/Kentfaith did not sponsor this video, had no say in the content, and did not see a draft before public release. These are my honest thoughts after 6 months of use! Drop any questions down here and I'll make sure to try and answer :) Cheers, Murray

Thank you Murray for the very fine and detailed review of the KentFaith K&F Concept Nano X Magnetic Filters. The photos are beautiful and very inspirational. I also admire your fine work in putting together this video review with all the details and information. I am tryig to figure out if I should go with round filters, possibly magnetic or the larger 100mm filters for a Nikon Z 14-24 f2.8 lens for an upcoming trip to the Dolomites in late June. Thanks again for this fine review and all the information. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌟 🥇👍

Great video. For multi-day hikes, can you pack your tent and sleeping bag in the Action x70, or do you carry them separately?
@MurrayLivingston3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I've since changed to a different bag (Durston Kakwa 55), but 70L definitely had enough space for my tent and sleeping bag inside - in fact as I got lighter and smaller gear it was probably too big. Obviously depends on what gear you have as some is more bulky than others. I try to put everything on the inside of the bag for multi-day hikes so it can be in dry bags or a bag liner, except for rain gear/tripod so that its easily accessible. Hope that helps :)

Great review! Have you noticed any creep at all since you've been using this ball head? I have 4 pretty hefty Canon RF lenses, including the RF 100-500mm and I'm wondering if creep will "creep in" over timr? Thanks!
@MurrayLivingston3 ай бұрын
Thanks TC! Haven't noticed any creep with the 100-500mm - was just using it two days ago for some "macro" bark shots and it worked great for those fine close up adjustments at 300mm+.

Hi Murray. Thanks for posting this excellent review of these filters. I have already purchased them myself and was really interested to hear about using them, especially under poor weather conditions. In your conclusion, you mentioned a few things I wanted to comment about. I have the same issue with the UV filters. I have the 77mm set. I am using 62 to 77 mm and 72 to 77mm step-up rings for my lenses. I bought two of the UV filters with the intention of leaving one attached to each lens. However, when I attach a magnetic UV filter to either of these rings, it falls off. I don't think the UV filter is as strong a magnet as the others. I found two solutions. The first is to attach the UV filter after attaching another filter or filters first. It seems to stick much better to another magnetic filter rather than the step-up ring. There other solution is to attach a standard screw-on UV filter to the lens first, then attach the step-up ring. Obviously, you would have to check if you get vignetting with this solution. Regarding identifying the filters in the case, I plan to use a fine-tipped permanent pen to label the dividers to make life easier! Thanks again for this great review. Cheers!
@Travelagent4 ай бұрын
I am not sure if I am getting your problem right, but: The UV-Filter should always be the first one to be screwed on(!) the lens. The UV-Filter is as magnetic as as the provided magnetic ring and can be uses as such, but - only on the "upper" side! As it isn`t magnetic on the "other" side, it can not be attached on any ot the other magnetic filters!
@MurrayLivingston4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and the detailed comment John! I passed on my comments to kentfaith about the UV magnets, so it's interesting to hear others have had a similar issue. Hopefully something that's an easy fix for future filters. Fortunately enough for me, I don't need one for my uses 🙏🏻 hope you are enjoying your set 👍🏻

Lovely overview of the master photographer. His work has always been a favourite of mine too. I saw the Amazonia exhibition in Manchester and your quite right about seeing his images in large scale they do make you stop in your tracks and draw you in. One of my first encounters with his work was at an exhibition in Glasgow maybe 25years ago. It showed some of the images you showed in this video, the mines in Brazil & famine in Africa brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing.
