@StaggsintheWild thanks. All things considered I think I'll go with 9mm. Trying to ease into this style hunting. My tree time to date has been with hang on stand and screw in steps. Deer and elk mostly in WA state and 99% of time is on the ground. So trying to keep it simple, versatile and affordable. I'm an avid diy guy (metal fab, tig welding, sewing, etc), so can definitely keep some costs down. Thanks for the great content on your channel.

Staggs! I have a seeker right now that’s really comfy with the angled front. With that said it can never seem to be super solid on the tree with side pressure, no matter what I do. Is this a good alternative and is the angle as comfy as the seeker. I have the same concerns as many others with the surface area of the angles not being very large.
@StaggsintheWild

@@EasternWild two things: first, Cruzr received a bad batch of cam straps at one point that stretched and didn’t allow for a rock-solid attachment; that may be what’s going on with yours. I’d recommend reaching out to them first. Secondly, the Onyx is a nice platform but it’s made to be sort of a “catch-all, general purpose” platform. The Seeker is MUCH more built with a true leaner in mind.

The angle of your quads compared to your waistline is better with the 22” and significantly better on the 3 step which means instead of trying to lift yourself out of a ‘deep squat’ with one leg, is more like a parallel squatted position which is best for power and probably better for safety.

Good review. The problem I have with the wire style aider is they get stuck on the lugs of my rubber boots when Climbing. Do others have this problem?
@StaggsintheWild
@StaggsintheWild Ай бұрын
This style aider works with this stick for what it is and what the company is trying to accomplish in keeping it extremely lightweight while providing some functionality; however, I have never been a fan of this style at all. You'll always see me promote either Backwoods Mobile Gear, or more usually, Ultimaider's style of webbing aider. The just don't collapse like an amsteel aider does when you step into it -- but that "collapsibility" factor is precisely what allowed them to use it in this application.
